The Great Dictator was going to end the war in Ukraine on his first day in office, then he didn’t. Then the Great Dictator was going to speak with Vladimir while arm twisting the victims of aggression. Sort of like criticizing Poland for the Nazi invasion. But then suddenly, Russia was going to be punished and Ukraine was going to have weapons galore, but that didn’t happen either. The Great Dictator declared everyone would meet in Turkey and the Great Dictator would resolve everything as Great Dictators are prone to do.
Russia laughed up its sleeve as a no show. Then the Great Dictator was going to phone cousin Vladimir and have a long talk with him! He was going to have a long talk with that boy and dress him down like a tent evangelist with a sinner in the land of rich rubes. The American news media called it “High level negotiations.” The Great Dictator then told our former allies, “Putin isn’t ready to end the war yet.” The American media were told, “the talks continue.”
A breakthrough was announced in the Great Dictator’s talks with the Houthis. The United States will turn its back, tail between its legs and look away. And the American media were told it was a great success. And they licked it up like kittens around a saucer of milk. The Great Dictator’s talks with Iran enter a fifth round with ZERO progress. The Great Dictator threatens to bomb Iranian nuclear sites. And I’ll huff and puff and BLOW your house down, then he doesn’t. Israel threatens to bomb these sites and Iran says any attack by Israel will be considered an attack by the US. Did you hear Iran seized a ship in the Straits of Hormuz the other day? No, of course you didn’t.
Failure is the hallmark of this Administration, but you won’t ever hear about it in the news. RFJ jr. Robert Francis Junkie says he will find the cause of Autism in thirty days, then backs off. And the media say…nothing! Crickets chirp!
The Great Dictator rules by decree and sharpie. And If the courts try to intervene the Great Dictator simply ignores them and the media says, chirp, chirp, chirp. As useless as a snow globe in the Arctic. A Congressman says, Congress has ceded its power to an Autocratic dictator. Try to find that on the Internet, sanitized for your protection. Like he never said nothing. The fifth Estate is an Airbnb now available for rentals by the day, week or month.
At one time, I aspired to be a journalist myself. Thank goodness I failed. To be a journalist today, one must never ever report the news. Only a monkey chained to a word processor spitting out lies for a pile of bananas. I’ve done it before, I used to write Real Estate listings. Cute little three-bedroom bungalow (in Crack infested neighborhood) Within walking distance of mass transit. (and property crimes.) Great schools! (somewhere else.) Great views! (through broken windows) Call today! This one won’t last! (With the squatters living inside and the copper pipes missing.)
The Great Dictator says he will build a great Golden Dome missile defense shield over the entire United States. Raise your hand if you’re gullible. It will never, ever happen. It is provocative and illegal, but that won’t stop the Great Dictator. It is prohibitively expensive. The Great Dictator is too busy looting the treasury for billionaires to spend any real money on a needless missile defense. The goal is to needle and alarm the Chinese and make them think that we might.
The new Cold War with China. Smiling in public while snarling in private. You could piss in the boss man’s trash can and still keep your job but tell the truth and you’re gone faster than a hungry man’s lunch. It is a sad epitaph for Western Civilization that “Idiocracy” is a closer vision of the future than 1984, Brave New World or Fahrenheit 451 combined. “Welcome to Costco, I love you!”
A society of Eloy who never question anything. Except when the next new video game will be available, or superhero movie is released. Trading no tax on tips for their healthcare. Trading life away for a keg of beer. Is it any wonder they treat us like idiots?
“Until they become conscious, they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot become conscious.” ― George Orwell
The Extreme Court is stymied, Garsh this is a tough one! Should public tax dollars be used to fund a Catholic school? It’s been the policy of this nation for over 200 hundred years to say “no.” But the Court is stuck and just can’t decide. Thomas Jefferson? Who is that? But there is a reason for their difficulty. And that reason must never ever be spoken about publicly around the hoosters in the hustings.
If the Court reached the logical decision based upon precedent and law, it would crush forever the hopes of using public funds to support religious schools. So, the court is tied with one recusal, leaving their hopes alive. Like the Abortion issue, they will try again next year and probably succeed. It is the avowed goal of this Administration to destroy public education. Once public education is destroyed the subsidies to private schools can be slowly dispensed with in the name of fiscal responsibility. Okay, but when does the new Mission Impossible film premier?
Some day and do me a favor and remember this. Wall Street thinks the Big Beautiful Murder the Poor Tax bill is a good thing. Tax cuts are better than a healthy economy. When the crash comes and it’s on the way they will cry, “How could this ever happen to us?”
If a person desires a Ferrari and can’t afford one, chances are they will most likely do without one. If a person is denied food, they will take it. During the last Great Depression food riots were common. Hungry people would rush food stores and loot the shelves before the cops could arrive. Grieving relatives will take their dying family members denied healthcare to overcrowded emergency rooms in struggling hospitals to watch them die by the millions . The stories of the unnewsworthy.
The American Holocaust with 14 million sick people left without any healthcare, food or a prayer. A North Korean news media for an addle minded society. No progress yet in negotiations, but the Great Dictator is still hard at work! The most vile and noxious attack on a people in all of recorded human history greeted with saccharin smiles and sugar sunsets.
