Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergi Lavrov, Vladimir Putin’s Mini Me, gave an angry speech. How Russia was being treated unfairly. That the Ukrainians were carrying field artillery into the upper floors of apartment buildings, in a failed and weak attempt to justify the Russians firing on civilians.
Stop and think about that claim for a second. You are going dismantle artillery and take it up stairs in the elevator or stumble through the stairwell, with a nine-foot-long, forged steel barrel weighing over a ton? Sure, it could be done. But for just the off chance at one perfect shot?
But listen here Bubba. I’ve had five plus years of listening to the biggest god damned liar, that ever wore shoes and orange face paint. And if you’re thinking of trying to lie to me, you best bring you’re “A” game and your lunch.
Watching events in Ukraine, and how they are portrayed by the world’s media. The focus is always on what Ukraine doesn’t have, vs. the overwhelming might of the Russian juggernaut. Whoever does the P.R. for the Russian military, should be offered more money, and hired away immediately.
A contractor has collected hundreds of voice files of Russians in non-encrypted radio traffic. It paints a picture of absolute incompetence. Out of food, out of fuel and lost. And speaking on non-encrypted radios! Not only without a GPS unit, but without even a map.
It was reported, that the Ukrainians had shot down two Russian transport planes, filled with paratroopers. General Custer, meet Sitting Bull. “But gee Mr. Wizard, how did they ever know that the Russians would be there? We’re they just way lucky or did they have help?” This is Lavrov’s and Putin’s anger point, the West is using the old Soviet tactic of ignorance is bliss, and we don’t know anything about that.
Back in the days of black and white television and the Korean War. North Korean pilots in trouble, would dash for the Chinese border and land in China. I dare you to follow me here.
Leaving the East Coast of the United States, convoys of C5M cargo planes are headed for Poland. Each with four F35s fighter jets on their wing tips. Because even over the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, you never leave cargo planes unprotected. These planes are like football stadiums with wings, and are loaded to the gunnels with military hardware for Ukraine.
Already, F35s have moved to their forward bases in Poland. Since they are a Stealth fighter, they wear radar reflectors to be seen in peace time. The fighter jets in Poland have removed their reflectors and are working nights, all night (Inside perhaps?) or around the Ukrainian border. I dare you to follow or take a shot at me. Putin isn’t nine feet tall or made of stone. He has nerves too. So, look at the situation from his perspective.
He has really screwed the pooch on this one. In the next 90 days, the Russians must return 192 commercial jets leased overseas. That’s 40% of their total. But that’s okay, because they haven’t any place to fly to anymore, except for domestic destinations. Except they can’t buy any spare parts for their own planes, nor for the Mercedes or the BMW, or the Toyota. For all intents and purposes, the Russian civilian aviation industry will cease to exist, followed by the auto industry. Unless Putin is planning for a Cuban style auto industry.
American military aircraft are delivering tons of hardware, directly to the Ukrainian border. American intelligence aircraft circle overhead. Spy satellites relay information in real time to your adversaries. And the Biden administration replies, “Why, we are simply resupplying NATO. We don’t know what you’re talking about?”
Lavrov warns the West to “look six times,” at what they are doing. As the message slowly dawns on the countries in Europe, but outside of NATO. Sure, it was obvious to the former Soviet Republics. “We better get into NATO quick, before the Russians come back and they will come back!” Non-aligned nations for years thought, “Oh, the Russians would never do that to our country, not again.” Russian behavior bringing about everything in the world they never wanted, and always feared. A surrounded Russia, alienated from the rest of the world.
Foreign fighters and mercenary fighters, until it becomes everything but WW-3. The West builds and supplies the weapons and aircraft. Pays for them and then hands them to a Ukrainian soldier to pull the trigger. Russian soldiers in tanks with thermal imagining sights, fire on a nuclear power plant. That’s not war, that’s a war crime. That’s a crime against humanity! What part of going nuclear, isn’t it?
This war began in 2008, and the world said, “it’s none of our business.” As the Russians leveled Grozny. Putin moves into Crimea and the world says, “Oh you bad man, here’s some sanctions for you.” Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland. Never again they said, never again. The Russians pound Ukrainian civilians, like a man beating his wife in public, because it is all they have left. Public televised terrorism. A 9-11 everyday. Public genocide of innocent civilians to induce a surrender.
Whether Putin is a rational actor or not, is immaterial. He’s pushed all his chips forward, and is all in on this deal. The die is cast, and the dice are rolled. There will not be a negotiated settlement. As Putin as much as told the French President that himself. Putin with his army, will decide the boundaries of Europe by murdering civilians and firing on a nuclear power plant.
We don’t want to stumble any further into World War 3. But at the same time, we mustn’t lose it before it starts, trying to reenact Neville Chamberlin. We have the mark of this man Putin. And the world knows what he is capable of whether the West acts against him or not. Like everyone, I want peace at all costs. But I’m beginning to wonder if that’s even possible. As I no longer think the issue is even actually in our hands anymore. If the world allows Putin to annihilate Ukraine, what then? Never again, next time? For sure, next time!
