“Look What They’ve Done to Our Song Ma.”

Falling through the universe at the speed of life

By David Glenn Cox

One of the drawbacks of writing is the inability to add theme music. But anyway, you came here to read not to listen. But sometimes, it sure would be fun to have sometimes. This story maybe requires a Beethoven’s fifth symphony or the theme from 2001, A Space Odyssey or maybe even the theme from Bonanza. What they call in the investigation business, a big break in the case.

Just last week, it was reported the committee had postponed the Jan 6th public hearings. Due to a “Deluge” of new information and this is just beginning. A secret witness has emerged, who watched it all unfold. A secret witness in the room, with Twump, while it happened. And the part of John Dean, will be played tonight by Cassidy Hutchinson. An aide to Mark Meadows, the former White House Chief of Staff.

They are bringing her out into the public and putting her under the spotlight for her own protection. As anonymous, she could be subject to accidents that a public person could not have. This isn’t a game, there are lives, futures and millions of dollars at stake here. Jack Ruby didn’t just stumble into the garage you know, someone let him in. At this level of government investigation, anything can be expected. We aren’t talking about busting street dealers here, this going after Mr. Big.

Now, if you remember from our last episode of “When Republicans Ruined the World.” We find Dick Nixon cavorting in his boxers in the oval office, whiskey bottle in his hand. But never in his wildest dreams would wacky Dick Nixon ever consider hiring a hit man.

Have you followed, “sure.” Get your taxes from the IRS, “sure.” Break into your doctor’s office to steal your medical records, “oh yeah, all the time.” Hire criminals to break into the opposition’s headquarters, “doesn’t everybody?” But to hire a hitman was beyond the pale, even for the black-hearted Nixon.

Nixon comes off as low-level street pimp when compared with the Don, the con. A boyish buffoon, tinkering at the edges of criminality.  Nixon used crime to get what he wanted. For Don, the con, it’s more of a way life. Nixon took a puppy, Don, the con, took Atlantic City.

How the fuck do you go out of business running a casino? It’s built into the business model that the house always wins. This is an old real-estate trick I learned in old real-estate school. It’s called, you build until someone goes broke.

Bob builds a hotel in a desirable spot in town. He charges $250 per night, and business is good. So good, that Mike builds a similar hotel across the street that charges $195 per night, and business is pretty fair. Then Rex builds a hotel and charges $125 per night, and business is bad. So, bad that Bob goes broke and files for bankruptcy, then Mike files for bankruptcy too.

The contractors all got paid, and the developer made a bundle, building all three hotels. What business was Twump in before politics again? The architect and all the suppliers got paid. As long as you can keep the hammers swinging, you can create the illusion of prosperity. It was a builder’s economy and Don, the con, had an accomp, I mean, a friend in New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Christie used tens of millions of dollars in state development bonds to backstop all the casino construction.

Everybody made a ton of money, except for the citizens of New Jersey. They’re on the hook to pay off the mortgages on the now empty buildings. Screwed, blued, and tattooed. Take the suckers for all they are worth and then move on.

But a hit man? What do you think? Would Don, the con, with his long and extensive ties to the Russian mafia and the Russian GRU hire a hit man? I grew up in Chicago, and I knew people in the underworld. So, you’re not going to tell me Don, the con, doesn’t know every major underworld crime figure, growing up a real-estate mogul in New York City. A hit man would be easy enough to arrange with but a word.

By bringing Ms. Hutchinson forward, once her tale is told there would be no point in killing her. Once she sings like a canary publicly, she is safe for the most part. It was Ms. Hutchinson who first disclosed that Don, the con, really liked the idea of hanging Mike Pence.

Just imagine yourself in that room in that hour! An American horror story. The same rooms used by Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, or John Kennedy during the Cuban Missile crises. The new ground zero, for a filthy low down, organized coup plot to destroy American democracy for nothing more than insane personal aggrandizement.  It was she, who first disclosed that Mark Meadows was burning documents. And I just shake my head in wonder.

Like breaking open a computer to look for the files. The documents in question, were either generated by his office or received by his office. If generated by his office, there any number copies available elsewhere, not to mention copies found on numerous hard drives. If received by his office, there are any number of copies available elsewhere and again, numerous hard drives out there. Burning documents, shows the total stark raving terror of a man who never thought he’d get caught. And of a man who watches too much television.

That’s what they do on TV right? Can’t just put it through the shredder now, can you? Or casually carry them to your car in your briefcase. Nope, we can’t do that either. They must be burned immediately! Because these documents are so incriminating or else, why the frenzy to burn them?

It almost doesn’t matter what documents Mark Meadows burned. The fact that he burned the documents says enough, it speaks volumes of his guilt and volumes of his total lack of understanding of the electronic age in which we live. If you want to send a secret message in the 21st Century, write it in pencil and send it on the wings of a carrier pigeon.

What Ms. Hutchinson tells us with her behind the scenes glimpses. Is about of a group of political subversives who were very much aware of what they were doing, and what they were playing at. Political subversives, very much aware of the crime in which they were participating . And very much aware of the penalties imposed for said crimes. They weren’t innocents caught up in the fever and hoopla of the day. They weren’t brain washed, brain dead rednecks out to ruin their careers and marriages. They were willing and active participants in the crime of sedition.

The only reason you burn documents is because you know that you are guilty of something so heinous, that you fear they will hang you if they ever catch you with them. You know what the penalty for the crime is and you fear it, while at the same time knowing that you fully deserve it. Burning documents is a confession by act, no differently than getting caught trying to hide the murder weapon. “Look what they’ve done to our song Ma.”
