Upon All the Apparatus

Falling through the universe at the speed of life

By David Glenn Cox

Historic days and historic hearings as the scales fall from the eyes. As we get an authentic and first-person accounts of Don, the con, in action. Twump wanted the metal detectors removed, so he could garner a larger crowd on the ellipse .

Those armed in the mob would not go through the metal detectors, lest they lose their weapons. Twump wanted them inside the ellipse to make the crowd look larger for the TV audience. Because Don, the con, was certain that they wouldn’t hurt him and hopeful, that they would hurt someone else.

It was obvious that Twump was skating without both skates on. His plan went exactly as he intended it. Only not as much as he intended. He wanted a full out battle scene with bodies in the streets, smoke, and flame. These are dangerous times, and the Twump Administration just took another lap around the drain.

Liz Cheney was masterful and effective. She makes you wish she was on our side more often. But she’s a perfect example of everything that’s wrong with the Republican Party. They boot out their best and brightest and keep the dullards and the accommodating. This is often referred to in Washington as “the Ted Cruz example.”

It is easy to be frightened and scared, but that is just what they want. They want you cowed. The Republicans have for the last 40 years spent coin and treasure, in their efforts to subvert America. Their dream to build A Neo-liberal Brave New World is fading fast. To turn back the clock to Ozzie & Harriet times, with poodle skirts and 57 Chevys. A fanciful time in America that never really was. A dream state pseudonym for racist, sexist, homophobic times.

We live in a pluralistic society, at least that’s the goal. If you don’t want to go to church, you don’t have too. If you don’t believe in eating red meat, you don’t have to eat any. No one can force it on you ever. If a woman wants or requires an abortion, it is nobodies’ business, especially not the state’s business.

Our stated goal for our government is to provide “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” If a woman can’t control her own body this becomes a cruel farce. Like Thomas Jefferson squawking about “All men being created equal” while some of them were his slaves.

“You cannot tell from appearances how things will go. Sometimes imagination makes things out far worse than they are; yet without imagination not much can be done. Those people who are imaginative see many more dangers than perhaps exist; certainly many more than will happen; but then they must also pray to be given that extra courage to carry this far-reaching imagination.” – Winston Churchill

The times are not black, and the days aren’t blue. This is the culmination of all the Republicans ever wanted. And now, they seek to move as fast as possible to grab for everything they ever dreamed of,  before we can mobilize. They use the court to achieve their goals, because they cannot use the ballot box. But now, they have achieved their wish and the blue haired ladies against freedom can drive the minivan home to a gated suburbia. Mission accomplished! How will they get them back out to the polls now?

From a six-tiered summit of decades, I see the rising generation. The most Liberal generation since Woodstock. Open and accepting of change and challenge, becoming a majority of the electorate. The future belongs to us. Well, to you guys anyway. In every presidential election in this century, the Democratic Party has picked up one new state. And the Republicans have just kicked over the piss bucket. They’ve thrown water on a hornet’s nest and that energy that must be harnessed for the fight ahead.

When I said this was Pearl Harbor, I meant it. You’ve been drafted, you can either fight for your country to make it the way it’s supposed to be. Or you can go about your business knowing that you sold your kids and future generations to the devil.

“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a Socialist.”

First they came for your reproductive rights, and made millions upon millions of American women the victims of their belief system. To impose law based on their god book is blatantly unconstitutional. The political Party which once complained of activist judges legislating from the bench. Now cheers activist judges, pulling the law out their butts and setting fire to the concept of getting government off your back.

It’s not what this court would do that should alarm you. It’s what they won’t do, they won’t make any ruling outside the proscribed Fascist belief system. In a Fascist state, a Fascist government cannot act outside of the law. Because they are the law and hence, anything they do is legal.

So, the court would not stand in the way of building camps, if the government thought that they needed to build them. The court wouldn’t intervene in the case of inmates detained inside the camps, because the government had declared them necessary. (Temporarily of course.) The court would never question the administration of these camps, because the courts aren’t investigative. The Fascist government would have to bring charges against itself. Something it would never do.

And I suppose the ultimate irony is that once the court has stripped Americans of most of their rights. It will strip them of their Second Amendment and place them in the camp. Not because the government is afraid of an armed militia, they aren’t. It’s just easier that way, to round up all the potential troublemakers all at once. The rape of Sabine’s all over again.

But we outnumber them almost two to one at the ballot box. Only in states where literacy is an optional, do the Republicans have a solid  majority. We have the political power in our hands. The time to fight back is now. Get angry and get pissed off. Get angrier than you’ve ever been. You cannot be defeated until you admit you are defeated. But if you don’t vote in November, then you can’t complain about the camps later on.

“There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can’t take part! You can’t even passively take part! And you’ve got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels … upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you’ve got to make it stop! And you’ve got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you’re free, the machine will be prevented from working at all.” – Mario Savio
