As I watched Mike Pence on CNN, all I could think of was “The waffle man.” Try as Dana Bash might, she couldn’t get Pence to admit that Trump deserved to be prosecuted for his actions on January 6th. On the one hand, Pence was angry with Donald Trump but said he was proud of what he himself had done on January 6th. But not so angry that he thought Trump should be charged with a crime.
Pence said it should be left up to the voters to decide. Because he thinks the Republican Party needs new leadership. Guess whose leadership? But why does the Party need new leadership Mike? If Trump did nothing wrong, why not just re-elect Trump? Oh, it was wrong alright, but any prosecution would simply be political. That’s why when Mike Pence is elected, he’s going to clean house at the Department of Justice on day one!
Pence had consulted a Federal judge about what would happen to him if he had gone along with Trump’s nefarious plot and was told unequivocally “Slammer Time!” Mike Pence would be guilty of a Federal crime, but Donald Trump putting him up to the crime is simply a political prosecution. Pence said repeatedly we needed to let the voters decide. And Pence felt certain there would be a new Republican standard bearer come November.
A convenient dodge. Sure, he took out a contract on my life and my family but that’s no reason to prosecute the guy. It clearly illustrates the power of the cult. You can speak no evil , see no evil and hear no evil against Donald Trump, no matter what. Pence blamed those bad people who broke into the Capitol and committed those heinous acts of violence against law enforcement. Gosh darn it, throw the book at them! But the man who instigated the whole affair should be left alone!
Pence pointed the finger at the FBI and the DOJ but not Donald Trump oh no, not him. The waffle man is sad to the point of pathetic. He explained, as he traveled across New Hampshire and Iowa, how many voters thanked him for what he did on January 6th. But why would the voters thank him if Trump did nothing wrong? Why would the voters thank him for not doing Donald Trump’s corrupt bidding?
Anybody wanna buy a shipping container? Former Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s $95,000,000 wall of shipping containers covering two-thirds of a mile of the US/Mexican border are to be removed. Ducey had argued this was all Joe Biden’s fault, why if Joe Biden had solved the border problem, he never would have done anything half so stupid.
So, who wants to buy a shipping container? Almost a hundred million dollars for two-thirds of a mile. Prices start at $500 up to $2,000. Hurry, they won’t last long! The sale of the shipping containers should help to defray the 13-million-dollar cost of removing them. Your Conservative tax dollars at work!
So, take three guesses what will happen to Gregg (Bubba) Abbott’s floating pontoon barrier? Just a media stunt. The floating Bubba barrier is 1,000 feet long. Just another million-dollar media boondoggle along with the razor wire. To show us how tough Bubba is and to show us Texas is serious about fighting illegal immigration.
Immigrants who do make it to Texas could be picked up and flown Martha’s Vineyard courtesy of Florida Governor Ron (Flatline) DeSantis $50 million dollar program. Because some of those immigrants could be headed for Florida! It’s unlikely, but Ronnie’s certain of it.
The problem with extremists is it’s never extreme enough. Why not landmines or machine gun nests?
The Florida Board of Education has approved a new measure teaching the positive value of slavery. Definitely the most outrageous thing I’ve ever heard of. Yes, African Americans learned skills while treated as chattel. Forbidden by law to be taught to read and write or allowed to vote and only counted as 3/5s of human being. And they didn’t even say thank you.
It’s a good thing the DeSantis Presidential campaign is already dead, or this could kill it. Attempting to defend slavery in the 21st Century. Boy, I bet the foreign corporations are lining up to move to into Florida. DeSantis is mum on the new measure; Ron doesn’t want to touch that turd with a ten-foot pole, much less take a bite. Make America Florida!
Donald Trump threatens America with January 6th or worse if he’s prosecuted. I’m quaking in my boots. Almost 500 of the January 6th criminals sit weeping in their Federal jail cells and there is always room for more. Can we build one for you? The lesson has been learned by the Lilliputians. They don’t want to go to jail anymore; they don’t want to lose their job or their homes and families. While Trump is making it clear he’s willing to fight it out down to the last convicted idiot sentenced.
Trump says his supporters are more dedicated and enthusiastic now than in 2020 or 2016. Keep saying that Bobo until you begin to believe it.
Quinnipiac polling shows Trump favored by 54% of Republicans. Dead duck DeSantis is at 25%. Nikki Haley and Mike Pence both rocking a solid 4% percent. All the others are at 3% or less.
Trump will be charged with election interference and the cult will rally round their savior dooming the Party in 2024. Audio tape has emerged of Michigan Republicans saying that Donald Trump had asked them to put up the phony slate of electors. (What whoa!) That tidbit won’t go away, and Tide won’t wash it off.
