Desperate for attention, Ron DeSantis says he helped Israel obtain military equipment such as drones and helmets and body armor. The Israelis say Ron helped with some paperwork on some rifle parts already in transit. Doah! Ron thinks maybe, if he acts presidential, maybe the rest of America will pick up on the idea. The very idea, “We need weapons! Call Tallahassee! Get me Ron DeSantis on the line, stat!”

But Ron’s casual association with the truth is prompted by the Congressional Speakers’ debacle and the many, court cases of Donald Trump. Lawyers flipping on the boss and subpoenas flying every which a way. Kiss and Tell books coming out every day, can make it tough on candidates trying to get noticed. They can’t get any traction in the mud of the ongoing Republican crisis.

Even Donald Trump’s campaign has slowed its pace.  Trump “rallies” are becoming occasional affairs in an aging vanity campaign. Fewer, shorter and with less guest speakers. New guest speakers as all your Trump favorites are somehow unavailable or previously engaged. Mike Lindell doesn’t have the bus fare. Rudy couldn’t make it and Jeanna was busy. So, Trump campaigns from the courthouse most days on his “Pity Me” 2023 tour.

The court cases have become the campaign, and the campaign is the court cases. Like Lenny Bruce fighting the man and obscenity laws. Trump only sings one single song; can he hold the crowd singing it over and over? “And also, in the news, Donald Trump is back in court again today.” Already the impact is gone, no massive crowds of supporters or mass uprisings. Trump’s flipping attorneys make a conviction all but a foregone conclusion.

At any moment now, Ron will dispatch an envoy for direct Jerusalem – Tallahassee peace talks. But that’s just Ron. He once implied he worked with the Navy Seals while working as an attorney in the Judge Advocate General’s office. Ron, the fighting litigator trained to use a common everyday briefcase as a deadly weapon. With a knife in his teeth, a bandana on his forehead, He’s Ronbo!

In a way you gotta hand it to the DeSantis team, act presidential. Why didn’t anyone else think of that? Like you’re a serious-minded individual with both oars in the water. Trump certainly doesn’t act presidential nor does Vivek Ramaswamy, he doesn’t know how. Nikki Haley only knows how to act like a former governor which only highlights her Vice – presidential qualifications.

The battle is over, but the skirmishing goes on. Recriminations against Matt Gaetz as Jason Smith (R- MO) calls Gaetz a liar. Saying if Matt’s lips are moving, he’s lying. Gaetz, always anxious to play in the mud, answers. “If Jason is BREATHING, he’s lying.” You just can’t beat that top drawer snappy repartee. “You’re another one!”

But then Gaetz goes to only where a Gaetz would go.  “Jason Smith says if my lips are moving, I’m lying. Well, you know what? If Jason Smith is breathing, he is living a lie. There might not be another member of Congress who lives a lie every day more than Jason Smith. And Jason Smith knows exactly what I’m talking about. And by the way, so does almost every member of the House Republican caucus.”

Outing Smith as Gay, something which might only be of interest to Gaetz type Republicans. Small, minded pin headed types. This is how Republicans treat each other! Gaetz was investigated for frequenting an underage prostitute and wants to criticize someone else’s sex life.

“So, there’s a good deal of projection in Jason Smith calling me a liar when it’s Jason Smith, who literally has to live a lie. And I honestly pity him for that because you know, it wouldn’t be something that– I wouldn’t live that way,” Says Gaetz, “I’ll just put it that way. So, Jason, I would check yourself before you come at me with any accusations of being dishonest about what I say, when you’re dishonest about how you live and what you do.”

Do you see? Is it clear enough for you? Is Matt getting his point across yet? Jason’s Gay! Gay! Gay! Gay! He’s stay outta Florida Gay! Take the books out of the library Gay. This is how they roll, name calling. If you call me a liar, I’ll call you Gay! Fifty years ago,  it would have been George Wallace or Ronald Reagan calling someone a Communist.

Ron DeSantis is going call another special session of the Florida legislature to expel pro-Palestinian groups from the failed state of Florida. Another special session? They just had one a few months back to go after Disney and “Wokeness.” A great soapbox for Ronbo to stand on and pontificate. No man climbs so high as when he  stoops so low.

Ron is an equal opportunity exploiter, Gays, College professors, Disney, Librarians, public school teachers. African Americans and now Palestinian supporters. Ron’s got a special session with your name on it. Anything to get his face on the Internet and his name in print.

But the Republicans are already wedded to the Zombie corpse of Donald Trump and there cannot be two chosen ones.

The Republican Party under the new leadership of speaker, what’s his name. John Doe, signals their support for Donald Trump and sedition uber allis caucus. Leaving Ron DeSantis too shaded to blossom. The John Doe signal was unmistakable, forcing Mike Pence to throw in his chips and turn out the lights on the Mike Pence Express 2024. Pence couldn’t escape the Republican infamy of choosing the Constitution over Donald Trump.

Maybe Pence would be looking at going to prison now and would be in the same boat as Donald Trump, but with fewer of the resources. All these Trump attorneys making their plea deals with John Law now. Were the same attorneys telling Pence to pull the trigger on January 6^th. Pence may be forever poisoned in the minds of Republican voters, but he’s not looking at any jail time. Despite the loss, there has to be some satisfaction in that for Pence now.

Mike Pence is probably finished in politics and destined to become an annual feature at the Indy 500 but who knows, they recycled Richard Nixon didn’t they? The message is now clear, the Party is Trump and Trump is the Party. The Republican Party is not accepting any applications for employment at this time.
