OMG Susan Collins said something stupid about Donald Trump. And people are somehow surprised by that? Where have these people been, lough these many long years? Some things are just blatantly obvious, Susan Collins hasn’t had both oars in the water in quite a while. The poison well that keeps on giving as they hitch their careers to the falling and failing wagon of Donald Trump. There is a time to get on the bus and a time to get off before you go under the bus. What time do you think it is?

What could happen to Donald Trump’s popularity in the wake of his conviction? Either Donald Trump has a new burst of public popularity. (unlikely) Or Donald Trump’s popularity slowly begins to ebb away. Which do you think is more likely the case here? But there is a third possibility, where Donald Trump’s popularity begins to deflate like a ruptured party balloon. A French Revolution scenario where yesterday they loved you and today it’s the guillotine.

Peter might begin to deny him on a regular basis. The crazies might stay but the majority will slowly back away. No one rides the mechanical bull anymore. People might still listen to Donna Summer records, but disco is dead. These things come and they go. New today, old tomorrow. America once perfected the art of obsolescence.

But a tree rots from the ground up, case in point. The long sad saga of Lauren Boebert. I was recently forced to place Ms. Boebert into handicapped parking. Her personal problems and her issues were too much to satirize. An ugly divorce and a kid in trouble. Trespass warrants, domestic violence and protective orders okay, that’s enough. Ms. Boebert is in poltical deep shit.

In part, due to the ugly divorce the vaping and hand job incident, all prompting Ms. Boebert to change her political district. Trying to bury her bad press with new green pastures where she could bank on her name recognition without all the negative baggage. Guess what? There were already long-term Republican politicians in that district. They lived there! And along comes Ms. Lauren. “I’m here! We can begin now. I’m glad you all got a chance to see me. You’re welcome!” But this is politics and there is blood in the water.

Ms. Lauren can proclaim her loyalty and fealty to Donald Trump, but will it help her? Nope. Her days are numbered, and Donald Trump can’t save her. She’s a loud and proud acolyte of Donald Trump, and nobody cares. That’s not going to be enough this time around. Her political opponents point to her poor performance in Washington without even mentioning Trump directly. Flash: Devout Trump supporter goes down in political flames, news at eleven.

Arizona’s Kari Lake once had her lips so firmly attached to Donald Trump’s buttocks it left bruises. Lake was just like Donald Trump, only in a dress and with breasts. Combative with the press and antagonistic, it was true love. But Lake lost her election for Arizona’s Governor. So, she did just what Donald Trump would do and claimed she was robbed, and the election was fixed. And then, just like Trump her lawsuits were all pitched by the courts as bogus. And once it became clear Lake didn’t have a prayer. Donald Trump did what he always does and dropped like a bad habit. “We’re sorry, the number you have reached is not in service at this time.”

Let’s talk about loyalty. Are they so deluded and intoxicated they believe it could never happen to them? Donald Trump really likes me. He really likes me a lot. He’d never do that to me! Do they really believe that? When history says so otherwise. Once you start down that slide, it is awfully difficult to stop and change direction.

Trump has money troubles. Gee, I wonder why? They don’t trust him, that’s why! And they don’t think he can win. Reportedly, Trump was recently promised $100 million by a billionaire’s wife. Good job! One down ninety-nine to go. Donald Trump will need to find at least 100 of such wives, just have campaign table stakes. Oh, but there are also the legal expenses, so make that 200 billionaires’ wives.

It is Donald Trump’s possible nest egg for his future life in Dubai. Donald Trump’s recent conviction caused his Twuth Media stock to take another hit on its roller coaster ride towards eventual SEC  investigations and total worthlessness. This is Wall Street talking, and they are saying, “I don’t think so.” These are analytical bean counter types and money men. Nothing personal mom, but you’re fired.

All the signs point in the same direction. “You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.” Some Trump backed and endorsed candidates are losing their primary elections. Famous Trumpers, who once made their name on Donald Trump are losing to non-Trump Republicans. Wait until the Trump sentencing; it will be like shaking up an ant farm or throwing rocks at a hornet’s nest. That is going to really piss them off.

But the grandstands only fill when team is winning, and the team is not winning. The team is losing badly, and it’s no fun to be around anymore. “Success has many fathers while failure is an orphan.” Donald Trump says, “House arrest would be okay with him.” Susan Collins? Never mind about Susan Collins. The orange idiot in chief, just admitted his guilt and told the judge what sentence would be acceptable to him.

No, that’s not crazy…much.
