I tried going to bed, but it was no use. I’m too wound up to sleep. Is it too late to start drinking or too early? I’ve been wrong before but never on so vast a scale. It’s inconceivable, not that I’m wrong. But that my country should be so wrong. It is an unpleasant feeling. I’ve never felt before. Embarrassment and revulsion, a sick at heart feeling.

To reelect a felon, a philanderer, a cheat for what? What does he offer them, “Ooma Gooma blub, blub, blub.” Nothing of substance just sugar candy for morons. This the United States of America chose that over a perfectly sensible and experienced candidate. Forget the politics; the man is a criminal. Al Capone’s is going to cut your taxes! Charles Manson will build you a wall. Are they crazy, is this madness? Rod Serling where are you?

The American electorate has lost their fucking mind! And every citizen on the face of the earth will now pay for it. The American electorate in their righteous might have turned the House, the Senate, and the White House over to the Republicans. Donald Trump will choose the next Supreme Court Justices. There is a new kind of stupid in town. I heard a gentleman from Pennsylvania explain, “He was a Christian and Donald Trump more closely represented his values.” A man who has cheated on every woman ever stupid enough to say yes to him. A guy that stiffs dozens of contractors and uses the bankruptcy laws for his own benefit. Those Christian values? A tax cheat? A pervert? A felon?

A scandalous level of collective stupidity. The world should jump us while we aren’t looking to save us from ourselves. To save themselves from us. I’ve never felt shame in being an American before. I sort of suspect I’m going to feel it a lot more. Now that Vladimir Putin’s best ally just won reelection. Look for those arms shipments to Ukraine to dry up.

Look for those hurricanes to get worse in coming years. The world was at the environmental tipping point and just said, “Fuck it! We’ll elect Donald Trump!” Pump that oil! Frack that water table. There’s no replacement for displacement! There’s money to be made, and we don’t care who gets hurt.

I took a history class in school, The world since 1815. 1815 because that was the end of Napoleon. And was considered a starting point for the modern world. I reckon someday they will write about this date too only as the end of the modern world. I’m lucky, I’m old. You youngins should remember this day so you can write the book on it. Only they will probably write it in chalk on a cave wall or an abandoned subway tunnel. It’s the end of the modern world as we know it.

Welcome to the Trumpy states of America! Now who, oh who, will now serve the orange one? Who will be his Secretary of State? Marge Tater Greene? What the hell is wrong with people? He’s suggested Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for Christ’s sake. Did your mother’s drop you on your heads? How can this be? What sort of cast of cringing characters will serve in his cabinet?

His last Attorney General was disbarred, are you up for that? His personal attorney was disbarred and sued for LYING! What were these people thinking? Where is there a problem, you think, Donald Trump is uniquely qualified to solve? Note to NATO: Don’t tell the Americans anything you don’t want to get around to you know who. NATO has a whole new meaning now, No America, Totally Ours. This country will now turn its back on its allies once again. Refreshing the lesson, never trust the Americans.

Ronald Reagan was a joke and Bush Jr. was an idiot, but this hard to believe and fully comprehend. How could this happen in a relatively educated well off society. It would be one thing if the stores were empty with escalating unemployment. The Germans elected Hitler in the midst of the Great Depression, what’s our excuse?

I want to go someplace to run away in the woods someplace where I can hide until it’s all over. Taking into account, all the prevailing winds and radioactive fallout patterns. Don’t be surprised by anything anymore the devil is loose and demands to be paid and will be paid…handsomely.

Look for much turnover in the Pentagon brass. The American military was a great hope for the Republic. Willing to speak up about Trump and his transgressions when others wouldn’t. Run for the hill’s boys, the devils out looking for you. Brown nosers this line only.

It is difficult to paint too dark a picture. The possibilities are dark and endless. He’s probably on the phone already trying to make deals. Calling judges to get his court cases quashed. The sky’s the limit, and hell’s a poppin!

I’ve never been so wrong in my life. I feel so let down by the American electorate. We can argue issues, but we should never argue ideals. Donald Trump once tried overthrowing the elected government. Yet the American electorate believes he can now be trusted with the same government he once tried to steal from YOU! Thuggery Uber allis. Alternative truths, Ten Commandments in classrooms instead of red flag laws. Four more years of fighting gun massacres with thoughts and prayers.

A Supreme Court now emboldened and unleashed! As Clarence Thomas says, bite me America! I’ll do as I damn well please. And what are you going to do about…now? Nothing, that what you’re going to do about it! You can’t touch me or any of us… now. Those days are now over this is the postmodern world of 2024. That time when evolution snapped back like a rubber band. When the machine began to run wild ungoverned before it devoured itself. Stability sure was fun while it lasted.
