I tell you no lie! It is the dawn of invertoworld, Inside out land. Strawberry Fields, nothing is real and plenty to get hung about. Marko Polio, the little man in the big job says. “If at first you don’t succeed, quit and run away.” Teach your children well. It seems the warring parties in Europe won’t listen to the King’s instructions and stop shooting. The King doesn’t like it when his instructions are ignored. This leaves only two viable political options. Either try again starting fresh from square one, if necessary. Or run away quick, before someone starts to notice your failure.

That’s why those Noble Peace Prizes the King has been hankering after don’t just fall from trees. But there is something wrong. Here I am a lifelong FDR Democrat and Democratic Socialist defending the people I’m supposed to despise. Big rich bankers soiling themselves rolling in incredible amounts of filthy money while children go hungry and live a wretched existence. Here I am defending those people! What kind of world is this? What have we come too?

But an enemy of my enemy is my friend. The King still smarting from his many unsuccessful ventures all failing simultaneously, is spoiling for a fight. The Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell draws the King’s ire by speaking the truth in a public forum. The markets need price stability and Tariffs sent by lightning bolts based on personal opinions don’t do that. They do the complete opposite of that. Introducing uncertainty and fear into the markets. I bet the King was so angry you could have toasted marshmallows off his forehead.

The Fed is or was an independent agency. Theoretically anyway, the King can only fire Mr. Powell for malfeasance. But this is the King we’re talking about, and the King can do whatever he wants! How are you going to stop him? The little people voted for Godzilla and now he’s headed for downtown. The King by divine right and Congressional wrong has declared his royal prerogative to do or fire anyone he wants, even unto the end of the world.

Since the Congress isn’t doing anything anyway. Why not eliminate one Senator per state? They’re just wasting taxpayer money and failing to uphold their oaths to defend us from all enemies foreign or domestic. Reduce the House of Representatives down to just ten members to form a single panel to hold up number cards of approval for the King, like the Olympics. Remembering to throw out the high and low numbers and just take the average. What’s the point of having a Congress if they aren’t going do anything to defend the people from an overthrow of Democratic principles? Or even to defend the viability of their own jobs!

You know; it was right about this time in history when the Reichstag building caught fire in more ways than one. The silent Duma and rubber stamp approval given to the Third Reich. Made the old building and its dazed but enthusiastic occupants unnecessary. An unsightly reminder of the bad old days of Democratic government.

But as the King moves from banana peel to banana peel, stumbling towards the cemetery looking for an open hole to fall into. Trade negotiations are moving a little slower than expected. Vietnam and Micronesia, Check! Now onto some of the harder countries! But it is the law of unintended consequences. A court which can’t be bought or overruled. Jerome Powell was actually trying to warn the King to shoot carefully, the bumpers are hot. Shoot too hard and we could wind up in a Depression or worse! I didn’t say that. That was said by the CEO of one of the largest hedge funds on Wall Street. Or worse. What is worse than a Depression?

Oh, I see now. A Depression is a long-term downturn in economic activity. What the King proposes is a complete restructuring of our modern world unilaterally. An economic Depression will get better eventually. What the King proposes…not in our life time. And the King can’t juggle with just one ball. It appears China has been directly aiding the Houthis giving targeting information on US Navy ships. The Houthis are not a lawful government. That makes this a crime. And it also appears the Chinese are directly supplying men and arms in Ukraine. What next Johnny Quest?

A World War and a Great Depression! All at once! That could be difficult to pull off for some, but not the King. That smart mouth guy Powell critiquing the King. Where does he get off? Maybe the King will and maybe the King ought to fire Powell for insubordination and refusing the wishes of the King. But if the King did fire Mr. Powell, it would be like pulling the pin on a hand grenade.

If the King fires Powell, there is no longer an independent banking system in the United States. Interest rates drop only because the King demands it. Foreign investors will fly scattering like a flock of frightened birds never to return. And maybe, they won’t want to buy our treasury bills anymore at any price. Because with the King in charge of the banking system, who wants to buy a five-year treasury bond? When the odds are only 50/50, we’ll even survive for five more years with the King in charge.

Think of it as a warning. Think of it as a signal. If the King fires Jerome Powell, the end of the world as you’ve known it has officially begun. The stock market will be down for the count and the bond market will be deader than the American Dream.
