Call it Epstein Gate or Bondi Gate or even Trump Gate. It was Donald Trump and his campaign, which had claimed there was an Epstein “client list.” It was alleged, it would expose the Clinton’s and the Democrats. And now, Trump has tripped on his own pants cuffs. Don suddenly claims, it’s all fake news! Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain! Yes, it’s true! It was all created by Barack Obama!
But Mr. Trump had promised and promised that if elected, he would expose the dirt on them all! Now the simian Trump cult doesn’t care if you destroy the economy or ruin their prospects for a generation or more. But they want their scandals and conspiracy theories validated. It’s like the National Enquirer Party. They want their scandal and dirty laundry. And you can’t go getting them all hopped up and excited on nicotine and sugar water, and then expect them to back away now !
“That’s old news,” he said. “What do you want to talk about that for now?” He said nervously. But the Maga multitude does want to talk about it. And they are getting angrier and angrier and the more they try to deny and obfuscate, the more the multitude become inflamed. The evidence is out there, but it is in many different hands. But as the pressure grows and grows, the greater the pressure becomes for someone to leak it.
Nixon had his plumbers created to stop leaks with dark money and threats. But this is somewhat different. Rather than information leaking out. The information is outside leaking in. Dozens of photographs and a 1997 interview where Trump calls Jeffery “A great guy!” and references Epstein’s attraction to young women. Now these ghosts have come flooding back. And the more the Administration denies, the greater the Maga multitude wants answers.
It’s the reason con men can never unpack their suitcase. Never knowing when they might have to suddenly leave town in a hurry. Trump has painted himself into a corner. He’s pledged his faith in Pam Bondi, Kash Patel and Dan Bongino. He can’t fire them or throw them under the bus or claim he was being misled about the investigation! Trump has voiced his support and so now it’s on Don alone. His lies and bullshit have finally caught up to him.
There was a point at the beginning of the Watergate scandal when Nixon might have survived. He could have fired some cabinet members and feigned total innocence. Mark this date! The day when I ever say something nice about Richard Nixon. But Dick wasn’t wired that way. He was an old school team player. Harry Truman once said, “Nixon was so crooked he had to screw his pants on in the morning.” But Dick wasn’t a rat. He fired the special prosecutor hired to investigate him instead.
And once Nixon did that, the onus was on him. Why would you fire a special prosecutor if you weren’t trying to hide something? Why would you not release the Epstein documents you promised to release, if not for the same reason? Now painted into a corner, the more the Maga multitude asks. The less Trump can say! Every word he speaks only further incites the crowd. He can neither admit nor deny anything and so for perhaps the first time in his miserable life. Mr. Trump is forced into silence. Leaving the explanations to the people he has already pronounced his faith in.
The Maga crowd has demonstrated through Trump’s history of lies and prevarications to be intellectually weak. But this is beyond the pale. Trump created this monster in his own laboratory and now it has broken its chains and is running loose in the hinterlands. Maga see, Maga do! The Reich wing press smell blood and are quick to announce themselves now on the OTHER side!
Joe Rogan, Megan Kelly, Steve Bannon, Trucker Carlson and Alex Jones all express shock and dismay. (Shocked! I tell you!) Why, if I didn’t know better, I’d think maybe he was lying to us! The worm has suddenly turned. Trump can neither admit nor deny the accusations. Only the full release of information will suffice! And he can’t do that and still remain the President. And any half measure or partial tapes will only further fan the flames. He has to hope he can ignore the storm, until the fire burns out and goes away. But his silence only convinces multitudes of a cancer upon the Presidency.
Of all the crimes and prevarications Trump has been involved in. This one, as serious as it is, seems small. But it involves SEX and young girls’ real prurient stuff! Not like bankrupting boring old casinos or cheating honest construction contractors out of their money. This is right in the National Enquirer wheel house of the Bill Clinton’s Alien Love Child crowd. Even Fox News is turning on Trump and that might signal that the end is coming sooner rather than later.
The Billionaires and the corporations have gotten what they wanted from Trump. Perhaps now he has become expendable. Trump’s numbers on immigration have completely reversed. His great big Disastrous bill backlash combined with the Epstein scandal could mean dark Tuesdays for Republicans in November. Steve Bannon says the Republicans could lose 40 seats in the house. And today’s Republicans aren’t like those in Nixon’s day. They will sell him out and ship him off faster than Amazon would.
No more Elon to support him and it would take a big brave congressman to hang his hide on someone else’s SEX scandal now. “CAUTION! Contents might be highly radioactive!” Watch Lindsey Graham! !f Trump loses a spineless jellyfish like Lindsey Graham, it’s all over. It gives Republicans an easy out to throw Trump to the wolves. “We didn’t really want to support that awful bill, but he made us do it!” And we’ll fix it, first chance we get. But now, knowing what we now know. We’re just as shocked and appalled by his behavior as you guys are! Maybe more! If only we had known this about him sooner!
