It reminds me for all the world of the Watergate scandal. A three penny Shakespearean tragedy with every day, some new morsel or tidbit appearing for the public to gnaw on. With them all leading to the same eventual destination. With an ever-widening cast of characters and clues.
And now a giant crack has occurred in the hard shell, exposing a soft gooey center. Donald Trump has told his minions, if you don’t stop talking about this, YOU’RE STUPID! And I don’t need your support ANYMORE! Oh, but that was a bad move. The undisputed facts say Donald Trump and Jeffery Epstein were pals for fifteen years. Epstein called Trump his best friend. Trump called Epstein a Great Guy! So, for Trump to claim this is all made up now is absurd. The greatest fear a con man lives with is not to be believed anymore.
Like Groucho once said, “Who are you going to believe, me or your own lying eyes?” During Watergate, every day brought some new scrap of evidence or excuse which was used by Nixon. And you just knew. You could just feel it. Eventually Nixon was going down. Nixon fought bitterly to keep the Oval Office recordings secret. Then, when he was forced to turn them over, an eighteen-minute mysterious gap appeared in the tapes. Incredible explanations of how this peculiar gap appeared at just the right or wrong time. All depending on your perspective, of course.
But just like now in Epstein gate, you just know and almost expected something like that is going to happen again. Nixon was fighting to stay in power. So, he would risk the eighteen-minute gap. So now it appears it wasn’t a one-minute gap in the Epstein prison videotape. It was a three-minute gap. What woah! And after the Attorney General said it was only one minute. Oh boy, does this all sound familiar? Every half-truth out weighing whole truths.
Quinnipiac released a devastating poll. Asking if you think the Administration is telling all that they know about Jeffery Epstein? 62% said, NO. And only 17% said YES! But here is the backbreaker, only 1% had no opinion! Only one in a hundred had no opinion. The public is locked on to this like a Pitbull on a ribeye. Using our powers of deductive reasoning, which is more likely to occur? Will the 62% ever be satisfied with half-truths and excuses and, most of all, being called stupid? Or will the 17% figure begin to erode over time?
Oddly enough, these figures mirror Nixon’s at the end times. When the helicopter was warming up outside. Are we that near the end already? The grand order for everyone to shut up about Epstein hasn’t worked. Congress burying the files hasn’t worked. Charlie Kirk, who said he didn’t want to talk about it anymore, began to get hate mail.
Just as in days gone by, the Republicans used every excuse to stonewall and defend Nixon. Until the public made it clear that was a very bad idea. According to Quinnipiac, the public is saying that now. Currently, we are in the nether period where Republicans in Congress are listening to the ground waiting for a signal. Soon, very soon, the dissident voices will grow out of a sense of self preservation, just like they did in Nixon’s Republican Party,
Trump’s apparent meltdown yesterday speaks volumes to us. Lashing out at his own followers and giving them an ultimatum. “Either you believe me and forget this Epstein “Bullshit!” Or you can’t be my followers anymore!” The hell with ya! Turn in your novelty Bible and gold tennis shoes! What that says psychologically, I can’t say. But I can tell you this, it ain’t good. It’s like that lazy river slowly speeding up and as we float along with the current with a roaring noise coming from off in the distance. Like the cloak of inevitability.
Trump’s meltdown is almost a confession. And the frustration inside of him has burst forth in dark blossoms of madness. Somebody’s getting fired! Or everybody is getting fired! Make this stop! I command it! Somebody fix this! Somebody should do something! Make it stop and that’s an order!
Every scintilla of evidence reemerging and being re-investigated. And do you know what will happen then? The pressure gauge is rising, and the payday meter is about to explode and shout NOW! Somebody is going to talk! Someone will stab Caesar in the back when he’s not looking. If the King has enemies, this is the time when they will seek to find him.
The weakness expressed in the Trump meltdown and the mania exposed would keep Freud busy for months. The fear and paranoia expressed, is like the “Tell -Tale Heart.” Trump can hear the heart beating beneath the floorboards. And it’s driving him mad. He knows what he did! And he fears you knowing it too! He knows the evidence is out there and he knows eventually he won’t be able to control it anymore. He knows it’s only a matter of time now. There should be a comet or a disturbance in the night sky. In ancient times, it was always so when a king died.
Did you know that one of Epstein’s victims was given a job at Mara Lago? Strange, huh? Did you know one of the victims said in a lawsuit which was dropped after threats and fear that Donald Trump had tied her to the bed and had raped her when she was only thirteen?
“Yes, the Gorgon has dried your tears,” he said. “Well, she opened my eyes too; it’s a delusion to say that she blinds people. What she does is just the contrary — she fastens their eyelids open, so that they’re never again in the blessed darkness.” – Edith Wharton
