I’m not an attorney, nor do I play one on TV. But as a layperson, I would like to suggest to the president that he shut up already. The more he talks, the more he exposes. The more he exposes, the more he’s questioned. And the more he’s questioned, the more he talks. His attorneys are getting concussions from face palming.
My, how time does fly. It was just a few weeks ago Mr. Trump insisted vociferously, no fooling, no kidding and no doubt about it. That the Epstein affair was a hoax created by James Comey, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Despite having run for reelection on the issue and promising to expose them all! It was just a couple of weeks ago Attorney General Pam Blondie explained the documents were on her desk. Then they were a hoax. Then they wouldn’t release them because they were trying to protect the innocent. (or the guilty)
The Wall Street Journal published a story about Trump’s naughty letter to his best pal Jeffery Epstein. Complete with a drawing of a nude woman. Hinting about the secret affairs and the secret adventures of their friendship. The letter by itself wasn’t all that incriminating. Only it reenforced Trump’s comments about Jeffery’s pedophilia. If it quacks like a duck! If your best friend is a pedophile and you attended his parties, what are you? Mr. Trump’s overreaction and subsequent lawsuit are far more incriminating than the letter itself.
The letter in question is in possession of the Epstein estate. Thanks to Mr. Trump’s lawsuit, it will be subpoenaed by the court for discovery. Smooth move Ace! Then suddenly, it’s not a hoax after all. Look who else attended Jeffery’s wild sex parties! Look at all these other celebrities present! So, Trump was now admitting he attended wild sex parties with Jeff and knew what was going on. Facepalm.
After Mr. Trump’s own Justice Department had opposed Ghislaine Maxwell’s request for appeal. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche goes to interview Maxwell personally for two days. Does that look bad? Oh yes, it looks very bad. Mr. Trump was asked if he would pardon Ms. Maxwell and Mr. Trump answered, “What me worry?” Mr. Trump pretends to misunderstand the question and answers, “I have the power to do that.” Translation, “YES!” Facepalm. They could have sent any old attorney to interview Maxwell but choose the number two at the Justice department. Does that look at all suspicious? Oh no, not a bit.
Then Mr. Trump volunteers that he never had the “privilege” of attending any of Jeffery’s Island parties. Trying again to throw shade onto the others. But Bill Clinton attended 28 times, and Larry Summer’s attended them too. So what Mr. Trump is now saying is that he has investigated the documents quite thoroughly and memorized the numbers. But what’s wrong with attending Jeff’s Island parties Mr. Trump? Was there something going on there different from the parties you attended in New York? Facepalm. Mr. Trump just confessed to knowing what was going on at those parties.
This was Mr. Trump’s best pal for fifteen years, after all. And if your best buddy is a pedophile and throws sex parties. Geography isn’t the issue. They were, after all, neighbors in Palm Beach. Mr. Trump suggests that Mr. Epstein was stealing Trump’s employees from Mar a Lago. Oh, that’s bad! Maybe Mr. Trump should have paid them more? But the worker in question was an underaged towel girl. Is that a difficult position to fill in Palm Beach? Is there a shortage?
But a 17-year-old towel girl that Jeffery Epstein later sex trafficked. Why did that piss Mr. Trump off so badly that he would end his decades long friendship? What made that girl so special? Was it because Mr. Trump planned to sex traffic her himself? And Jeffery took his private stock? I don’t see why there is anything special about this employee, except that she was underaged with no family and was ripe for sex trafficking.
In the words of comedian Ron White. “He has the right to remain silent, but he doesn’t have the ability.” But due to his inability to shut up and Trump’s own lawsuit, the story is magnified tenfold. And it has become a millstone around Mr. Trump’s neck. Little Mikey Johnson shut down the House of Representatives three days early to keep the Democrats from subpoenaing the Epstein files. Does that look at all suspicious to you? Facepalm.
Mr. Trump claimed that Pam Blondie discussed the files with him in May. But just basically in generalities, and there was no information of any importance found. Then it was revealed that Ms. Blondie told Mr. Trump he was all over the Epstein files. That the FBI had agents scouring the documents and creating a spreadsheet of all the Trump mentions. Facepalm.
Ms. Maxwell then tells congress through her attorney that she’s willing to tell all for complete immunity. This is a ploy to put pressure on the Administration. “Give me a pardon quick or I’ll talk to the other guys!” Let’s make a deal! I haven’t got all day! Turning up the heat to Broil. But why should Congress do that? They already have someone on the inside leaking information. And it’s Mr. Trump himself. Just keep asking him questions and he will continue to sink his own boat.
It is something often seen in criminals aware of how the system operates. They think they can cleverly talk their way out of their guilt. Because they’re smarter than the prosecutor. I never believed they murdered Jeffery Epstein in prison until Mr. Trump’s reaction and overreaction. Like the “Tell Tale Heart,” Mr. Trump’s anguish and fear are palpable, and he can hear the heart beating beneath the floorboards. Like a kid stealing cookies from a cookie jar with crumbs on his shirt, he over explains angrily. Mr. Trump is completely off his game.
Mr. Trump is panicked, and his ball is in the sand trap. And the harder he tries, the deeper it goes. Congressional Republicans have grown silent on the matter. We have now entered a new phase here. By their silence they are signaling that Mr. Trump is now radioactive…stay away! For now, the Republicans won’t say anything against him, but that front won’t hold for long. Mr. Trump’s numbers are leaking down. His own supporters are leading the charge. Mr. Trump promised to release the information. And now, when it appears to implicate him, he won’t. Even among the stupid of the mangey Maga crowd, it is a bridge too far.
But it’s too late. Like Watergate, after enough information had been released to make it obvious crimes had been committed. There was a pause, waiting for the other shoe to drop. And in this case, the information is all out there and we’re just waiting for that one last shoe to drop. To tip the scales and tell the tale. Mr. Trump can’t escape now. He is broken on the wheel of his own big mouth.
