I bet you’ll like this one. It sort of makes you proud to be an American. But this one, this one deserves special praise and possibly even an Orwell award for best putrid propaganda. NBC (Not Believable Content) “U.S. Marshall and Undocumented Immigrant Shot During ICE Stop in Los Angeles.” Only the best propaganda can qualify by meeting the high standards of being both true and false all at the same time. If you just read the headline, which most people do. What would you think occurred?
A gun battle between ICE and an immigrant? An immigrant was shot and a U.S. Marshall was shot. In a Dodge City style shoot out? Because cops shot both men. Andy let Barney put his bullet in his gun and, well, accidents happen. Jughead goon one, shot jughead goon two in the hand. Now under the American justice system, the police are completely within their rights to ram your vehicle. If, however, a “suspect” so much as scratches the paint on an ICE vehicle. The Gestapo are completely within their rights to shoot them full of lead.
Plus, under the corollary of dead men tell no tales. ICE decides who’s vehicle struck whom first. I told you the real bullets were coming! Do Americans actually believe they have more rights, than say a Venezuelan or Colombian fisherman? It’s all getting out of hand, isn’t it? Karoline Goebbels Leavitt was asked who picked Budapest as the site for the now canceled meeting between Putin and Baby Hitler. Pointing out Budapest was where Ukraine had signed a treaty, giving up their nuclear weapons in exchange for security guarantees. Leavitt answered, “Your mother.” Very professional. How disgusting and reprehensible!
This is your government! This is how they speak to you with vinegar and contempt. How dare you ask a question like that! Republican congressman Musser says people earning $500,000 a year qualify for ACA subsidies. Let me punch a hole in that lie. Obamacare is shitty insurance. It’s a lifeboat, not a houseboat. It’s better than nothing, but just. The idea that someone earning half a million dollars a year would sign up for the shitiest health insurance available to save a few bucks is to believe they would also choose to live in a tent by the side of the road. Lies and lying liars.
Liars, well aware that cutting the subsidies will drive working class Americans into bankruptcy desperately trying to save the life of a loved one. Americans will die and the Republicans are good with that. That’s fine! We can give away $40 billion dollars to Argentina, but saving American lives is too expensive. This is YOUR government, and the Republicans shut it down over the question of letting Americans die!
Here is a point I think should be considered. Orange Hitler ordered his spineless worm Mike Johnson not to negotiate or communicate with the Democrats. The orange bastard wanted this shutdown! The ACA benefits are 57% spent in Red States. A solid majority of Republican voters say they want these subsidies renewed. Trump doesn’t care. He enjoys being cruel because that is who Donald Trump really is. He is a monster and a sadist who enjoys this shutdown because it makes him the center of attention. He’s cut off funding for a new tunnel connecting New York and New Jersey. Because he said so! Pure evil.
He is an evil, lawless dictator trying to bring this country to its knees. Concentration camps, lawless goons, troops in the streets, and murder. A government shutdown hurting millions of Americans and irreparably damaging the economy, but the evil dictator doesn’t care one whit. And now, he will attempt to starve the poor, the children and the elderly. (Sell your grocery store stocks today!) Cutting SNAP benefits will seriously cut into the profits. He doesn’t fucking care about you! He doesn’t care about anyone except himself.
Vulnerable Republicans begin to mumble quietly, supporting the ACA subsidies. Guess what? The evil bastard is deaf to their pleas as well. He doesn’t give a shit about their political careers. The mask has fallen and we are past a constitutional crisis. Spineless jellyfish judges allowing federal troops into Portland to put down an insurrection, when there is no insurrection. The worst and most disreputable federal court decision ever handed down to allow a mad dictator to run roughshod over American citizens. Those who chose to ride on the back of a tiger sometimes end up inside. The courts just approved Hitler’s enabling acts. And when revolutionary justice arrives and arrive, it will someday. Their names will be called to the docket.
It’s not a constitutional crisis, it is an existential crisis. Can this nation survive three more years of this kind of dictatorial madness? The evil bastard is intentionally trying to wreck the economy. Let’s stop pretending we are dealing with sane, rational beings here. This is a dictatorship, plain and simple! Not a benign dictatorship, but an evil and cruel dictatorship grounded in despotism. It cannot be bartered with or contained by crooked courts or a crumbling congress. It’s time to face the music and accept that our lives will probably never ever be the same. There might not be any elections in 2026. The dictator might declare Martial Law and rule by decree. What will the corrupt courts and a powerless congress do then?
And each of us must now make a personal decision about what kind of life the wish to live under a Fascist dictatorship. The possibility that the ship of state will somehow right itself and return to normal on its own is pure magical thinking. As Winston Churchill once remarked, “You cannot make a deal with a tiger.”
