It was a momentous occasion in human history. A moment which should be remembered always by all Americans. It was a first in the history of the United Nations. A first, which should give us all great pause, great pause. A moment to remember and to reflect upon forever. The United States of America was lectured. Lectured about morality and state sovereignty by the People’s Republic of China, Russia and Denmark. Complete with a letter from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, concurring with the others opinions.
But this historic first came, when not one country in all of the United Nations was willing to rise to defend the United States. We are truly alone and adrift. Friendless on a barren planet. Alone, without a friendly shore. Think about that if you will. Suddenly, as if from a bolt out of the blue. It has come down upon them what they have done. The world, by unanimous silent vote, has condemned the United States of America.
The great orange Emperor was asked while flying on his Air Farce one. Who exactly was in charge of Venezuela now? The Emperor, having been pie hole corrected, resisted his natural impulse to say “Me! Me! Me!” Answering, little Marko Polio is now in charge. Little Marko Polio was asked who was in charge and he answered, “The Justice Department and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. And who does the Joint Chiefs answer to? The commander and chief. This is the clearest example yet that they have no idea of what they’re doing.
They have dropped the Teddy Roosevelt rhetoric and ideals with no more mention of the “Don Roe doctrine.” They’re in real trouble with no way to back out. Madero is gone, but his regime remains. The new President, Delcy Rodriguez, promises she will work with the Gringo empire. (Nod, nod, wink, wink, Bob’s your uncle) But the corruption of the old regime still remains. Come on boys! Pony up to the bar! Who wants to be the first to invest eight or ten billion dollars in rebuilding Venezuela’s crumbling oil industry? Act fast. This offer won’t last long! As Seen on TV! Experts say the rebuilding process could take upwards of three to five years. And after the orange Emperor leaves office, who knows what will happen? Maybe the whole endeavor will be declared illegal or maybe the corruption will make it all a giant waste of money.
Maybe the next administration will abrogate the contracts the same way the Emperor abrogated wind farm projects off the American coast. Remember, the law isn’t what it used to be! But you can trust the Emperor, right? He’d never steer you wrong, would he? Then get out your checkbooks, fellas, and start filling in those zeros! For the oil companies, it comes down to a simple case of the bird in the hand. Keep using that nice, safe Canadian crude on tap or go chasing after two in the bush in Venezuela.
If the Emperor could wave a magic wand and ramp up Venezuelan oil production back up to two million barrels per day. OPEC would respond by cutting other members’ production quotas. And they probably wouldn’t like that very much, and would harbor hard feelings towards those responsible. Currently, there is no shortage of oil on world markets, and oil prices are falling. Adding more oil is counterproductive and hurtful.
Just another sad case of Neocons and generals fighting the last war. Reich wing septic think tanks with big crazy ideas of how to rule the world. The Emperor walling off the Western hemisphere to foreigners. Fortress Americano! Walk softly, but carry a big mouth!
The Emperor and his Attorney Flunky Pam Bondi have done a real fine job of convicting Madero in the court of American propaganda’ opinion. An issue certain to raise its ugly head once inside of a real courtroom. Someone will ask, can Madero receive a fair trial after Blondie and Chump’s character assassinations? The answer is no, and the trial should be moved to the Hague, and Madero released on bond. But that will never happen, not with the railroad they’ve got coming through. Your honor, we declare this trial to be unnecessary. They’re guilty, guilty, guilty! But then, there is that the whole world is watching thing to deal with. So put on a real good show before you convict them. We’ll be outside building the scaffold.
This administration can’t run Venezuela. They can’t run to an outhouse unassisted. They have shit themselves. It’s all so reminiscent of Donald Rumsfeld claiming Iraqi oil would pay for the occupation. That this was now our oil! But they have snatched Maduro and got nothing more. They control nothing. Venezuela is in the same boat they were last week. Speaking of boats, sixteen oil tankers fled like chickens from a barnyard the night of the invasion. Gone like a raid on a speakeasy.
Meanwhile, the Emperor who promised to cure inflation and to put the American people first has run off to South America on his hobby horse. Out to slay the evil windmill but falling off on his broom. It is such a sad and profound day for the United States. No one would defend the actions of the United States. No one could defend the actions of the United States under Donald Trump. It was a reckless and illegal, unreasonable and nonsensical action. And the world, by its silence, has spoken.
Who will administer those free and fair elections? How can an Emperor who cries foul every time things don’t go his way administer free and fair elections? The short answer is they can’t. The Emperor and his cast of cronies have broken Venezuela and now have no hope of ever fixing it. They have only made things worse for Venezuela and worse for the United States. We are a pariah and a rogue actor on the world stage. We are all alone and friendless.
It is no longer a question of a dictatorship and or despotism in the United States. It’s reduced down to a question of allegiance to a dictatorship and or despotism.
“When once a Republic is corrupted, there is no possibility of remedying any of the growing evils but by removing the corruption and restoring its lost principles; every other correction is either useless or a new evil.” – Thomas Jefferson
