It is a giant evolutionary failure. A creature too stupid to provide for its own environment. A slug or a termite, which does not think beyond the next bite. The orange monster repeals the Obama era, endangerment ruling. Greenhouse gases aren’t bad after all. Just don’t breathe so much. And hooray! It’s going to save us billions of dollars! (Not you and me) But now, remember that politically speaking, In any other era, Barack Obama would be remembered as a great moderate Republican president. Nixon would have agreed with the endangerment act. Gerald Ford and perhaps even George W. Bush the elder would have agreed.
I mention this only to frame it not as a radical act but as an almost symbolic act. It’s not doing too much; it’s doing almost nothing at all. And the orange monster just repealed it. Simply put; if it comes down to a choice between the billionaire’s profits and the survival of humanity…evolutionary fail. The Industrial Revolution has finally turned its guns on us. Money no longer just talks; it walks all over you.
After building their fortunes on the backs of working people, the billionaire class will sacrifice the planet on the altar of the golden calf. You knew it would come down to this eventually, didn’t you? Wealth versus the survival of the planet. I’m not trying to be controversial just to be controversial, but eventually in the long run they will choose to sacrifice you over their profits, just like when they had children working in a coal mine. They don’t care, and they don’t care if you march or wave protest signs. The people who sanctify peaceful protest. Who pays their salaries? Maybe George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were just crazy extremists? The American Revolution was all wrong, maybe we should have just stuck it out with the king?
It has long been my personal belief that the success of the Civil Rights movement had more to do with American cities in flames than with poetic words or sit-ins. Insurance claims speak louder than sit-ins. Back in 1933, the Brooklyn police came to evict a family from their apartment. A crowd formed and began passing the furniture back in through the window as the police carried it out the door. The police called for reinforcements as the crowd size grew. Finally, by afternoon, every available policeman in Brooklyn was there. The situation was turning into a riot; and the police were powerless to stop it. The police chief called the landlord and told them, “You’re on your own.” The police would no longer enforce evictions. Because they couldn’t do it. They didn’t have the strength.
My own father, as a child during the Great Depression, was sent out to break the windows on a home where the family had been evicted. Very quickly, landlords came to understand that evictions had negative consequences. Silent protest is fine for monks, but it won’t save you. Strikers were put out of their company houses during snowstorms. Their leaders were gunned down on public streets. But only when the strikers fought back. To occupy the factories and blow up the mines, did things begin to change.
The wealthy and powerful are quick to use violence against you, and yet, they are just as quick to tell you that violence is wrong. Look at Minneapolis. ICE murdered Renee Good and without hesitation or investigation, they slammed her as a terrorist. She meant nothing! You mean nothing. It wasn’t until protests erupted and kept getting larger that their tone changed. What was their plan then Stan? Murder someone else to show the mob who was boss! How gullible are you?
As much as you might like to think these events were accidental and coincidental, they weren’t! They had been building for months since Portland Ice began pepper-balling innocent crowds. Instead, the Minneapolis protests grew larger still. Citizens began erecting barricades in the streets. Calls that Alex Pretti was a terrorist were stifled and muted. How long will you continue to give Donald Trump and his murderous cabal the benefit of the doubt?
Three weeks later, the operation was declared over, and ICE was leaving town with its tail between its legs. Violence was met with the fear of more violence. It was the barricades and not the protest signs. Barricades mean occupation and loss of police control. Like the Brooklyn rent strikers, police can only do so much outnumbered 150 to one.
Roses this Valentine’s Day will cost you around $100. Is there a shortage of roses? No, it’s just price gouging and price fixing. They know you’ll have to pay it. Gladly pay it! Will your government protect you from price fixing and monopoly? Donald Trump? Back in the 1990s suddenly there was a liability insurance crisis. Insurance rates skyrocketed and little leagues were being disbanded. Then 25 State’s Attorney Generals began suing the insurance companies for proof of a crisis, and the whole matter just faded away.
We live under the most corrupt, abnormal American Administration in our history. Not quite Hitler, but more than Mussolini. They lie with impunity; they steal and they murder the innocent. The BLS had reported US employers had added 584,000 jobs. Oh, that’s great news! Donald Trump really has the economy humming! Then, almost without notice, the old switcheroo, the number was revised DOWN by 69% to 181,000 jobs. The media reported it as better than expected! Ain’t that great? The Titanic isn’t sinking nearly as fast as we thought, and that’s good news! An average of 3,600 jobs per state per year! The books are being cooked! Sleep well, investor class!
Unemployment is falling! Don’t believe what you read in the job listings. Trust those Trump Brand job numbers instead! Would he ever lie to you?
Little Marco Polio went to Munich to sing sweet love songs. But as the old political adage goes, “If you break it, you’ve bought it.” The administration is trying to sell LNG to Europe, but they don’t want it. The administration needs Europe to buy our Treasury bonds, but they don’t want those anymore either. Little Marco was sent on an apology tour without an apology, and Europe isn’t buying it.
The administration is building concentration camps to remove ten million illegal immigrants. It also builds a huge secret police force shielded and answering to no one. It seems a bit of an overkill, does it not? Congress voted for it because it was attached to tax cuts! They’d vote for their own execution for tax cuts. Maybe the camps and secret police will dissolve away into fairy dust once the illegal immigrants are all gone. When Adolf Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia and Poland those were Illegal acts. Just as invading Venezuela and attacking Iran were illegal acts.
The Artificial Intelligence revolution is going to be great, if it doesn’t break the economy first. Tens of thousands of workers will be displaced. And that’s great news for the economy! What will become of these workers? Where will the government put them? Three guesses. No, they wouldn’t do that to us! Because ah, because ah, that would be wrong.

Am I a communist? No. Is the statement true? Yes!
“If you’re not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.” ― Malcolm X
“No class or group or party in Germany could escape its share of responsibility for the abandonment of the democratic Republic and the advent of Adolf Hitler. The cardinal error of the Germans who opposed Nazism was their failure to unite against it.” ― William L. Shirer
