We have come to one of those moments, like J.F.K or 9-11, like a new 9-11 bringing down the towers of justice metaphorically speaking this time. If you’re like me, you just can’t get it out of your head and it colors my day. The Chief Executive has escaped justice and is now above the law. The Senate Republicans that complained they were too busy to hear witnesses and had a job to do will now take time and oxygen to cover their backsides. To explain for a couple of days and try to tell America why they had to vote for Barabbas. “Not that I loved Caesar less, but I loved Rome more.”
We have crossed the Rubicon and broken the tether. Just think Pinochet in Chile or maybe your old-school Francisco Franco, the only Fascist to survive the war. Beatings with a kind face or executions at the soccer field. The only chance to defeat them will be with a massive voter turn out and if that doesn’t do the trick, then it’s Katie bar the door. We are living in a well-lit postindustrial Dark age and paraphrasing Churchill, made even more sinister by the lights of perverted science.
I was watching a news report about the Corona virus from China. A drone was hovering over the intersection yelling at people to put their masks on. When the drone said put your mask on it meant, put your damn mask on or your gonna meet some new people…people you won’t like. Its hard to imagine that in this country…right? The answer is, it’s not that simple any more.
That awareness, that realization of Kennedy’s body in the Capitol Rotunda. They killed the President, and things are never the same after you kill the President just as things haven’t been the same since 9-11. A Descending line of boobs who use the Presidency as a private club like President of the yacht club or the Rotary. Remember when we thought “W” was an idiot? Yuck, Yuck, I can’t keep my sentences straight! All hat and no cattle, just a twenty-year war and a trillion-dollar debt to achieve almost nothing.
“God created War so that Americans would learn geography” – Mark Twain
There’s a reason they call Afghanistan the graveyard of empires. The costs are great and the spoils are few. Winning on the battle field means winning nothing. Right foot blue in geopolitical Twister. Then when board or broke must figure out how to climb off the back of the tiger without losing face. No one retreats in comfort. The Iraqi Parliament voted to expel US troops from their country. The US response; we know you guys are just kidding! Come here ya big lug! But mortar rounds fall on the US embassy in Baghdad nearly every day. Is that Iran or the landlord?
Do we use logic or emotion to solve the problem this is the travis of the situation? Trump supporters use emotion to solve problems, think: Slim Pickens riding the bomb down in Doctor Strangelove. I can change your mind with facts, but all the facts in the world can’t change their emotions. The super leader who is going to right the wrongs and bring the November criminals to justice. There is no event which will bring them to their senses this a Fascism 2.0. Adding new countries to the travel ban, what happens once he’s added all the countries to the travel ban? I guess you’ll just have to ask for permission to travel.
Built on a foundation of fear and racism you’re not gonna un-scare them, they see enemies everywhere. Good guys and bad guys, cops and robbers raised on a steady diet of Batman movies and microwave macaroni and cheese what do you expect? I knew a man in Ohio whose family was on food stamps supporting a politician in favor of cutting food stamps. Literally trying to take the food from his children’s mouth and he was ready to Zeig Heil without hesitation. This is where we are like it or not the Calvary ain’t coming, this is on us. Organize! Organize rides to the polls, organize poll watchers to count voters leaving the polls and for god sake register yourself. We are in a new era and this is our world and this generation will decide the fate of Earth and you thought you had nothing to do.
“Ahh princess on a steeple and all the pretty people
They’re all drinking, thinking that they’ve got it made
Exchanging all precious gifts
But you better take your diamond ring, you better pawn it babe
You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used
Go to him he calls you, you can’t refuse
When you ain’t got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You’re invisible now, you’ve got no secrets to conceal
How does it feel, ah how does it feel?
To be on your own, with no direction home
Like a complete unknown, like a rolling stone”
