Some days I wish I was Ukrainian. They at least know that everyone there is doing their level best, and trying their hardest. They don’t doubt the loyalty of their parties or politicians. They know that they are all on the same side. They aren’t trying to score political points as the bombs drop around their children.

Sarah Bloom Raskin has withdrawn her nomination to be the top Wall Street government cop. Hailed as a victory for Republican obstructionism. Did Ms. Bloom Raskin burn down the Administration building while in college? Did she once own a Che Guevara tee shirt? Did she host drunken keg parties at the sorority house? Is she a member some bizarre religious cult?

No, she was a Biden appointee. The Republicans asked her if she was in favor of “an all-in energy policy.” As in, all in Coal, Oil & Nuclear, and she said, No.  Never mind the future, never mind the rest of the world. What do you need with an automobile if you got a perfectly good strong plow horse? What do you need with an electric light if you’ve got a good steady candle?

Not that it matters, the Republicans had boycotted her hearings as in, taking money for not doing their job. Thus, making it impossible for her nomination to move forward. Clear eyed straight forward, let the devil take a holiday, obstructionism. Shoot em down, like pigeons off a wire. That’s the name of the game! That’s the first truth; the January 6^th insurrection has never ended. They weren’t trying to overthrow the government; they are trying to overthrow the government. Hamstring Joe Biden and the government on the verge of World War Three so that maybe, they’ll do a little better in November.

You know if Joe Biden is favor of masks and vaccinations, the Republicans are…? It’s a simple public health issue, it’s not a going against Jesus or the bible issue. If Dr. Fauci works for Joe Biden and the government, then he can’t be any good. Besides, he made the Twump lump cry. So that’s it for you fella. You are the enemy to us, from now on. They can cry about inflation and two weeks later, cry because Joe Biden hasn’t cut off Russian oil fast enough.

There has been a lot of loose talk amongst the Republicans lately. And generally, I try to ignore their base criticism like background noise coming regardless. Mitch McConnell and some of the other irresponsible Republican leadership have begun a Joe Biden is weak campaign. Over the issue of handing over Polish fighter planes to Ukraine and replacing them with US F-16s. Did you know, those F-16s are already spoken for? They’ve already been promised to Tiawan. A people who also have trouble sleeping at night.

Firstly, Joe Biden and his Administration have at lighting speed put together the harshest package of all-encompassing sanctions and embargoes EVER! In the history of the whole God damned world! And told China, fuck around and find out fella! Have you ever seen a C-5 Super Galaxy Air force cargo plane? It is a big motherfucker. And Joe Biden has been sending fourteen of these huge aircraft every day, loaded down with weapons for the Ukrainians. But to the Republicans, it’s just not good enough!

“Why don’t we set up a “no -fly zone? Why don’t we send them A-10s? Is it because Joe Biden is weak or because they don’t know how to fly A-10s? Send them the Polish fighters’ jets then, ya pussy!” Even if it starts World War Three? “Well, no, of course not. But we reserve our right to bitch and complain, either way.”

Because like a band of howling jackals, it will never be good enough. They will never be satiated until they paralyze the government. More than willing to open the city gates to the barbarians, if it means hamstringing Joe Biden. And I have no doubt, that some are doing it intentionally and have Russia on their speed dial.

The second truth isn’t nearly as much fun as the first. We are already at war, in World War Three; we just haven’t pulled the first trigger yet. Like the Gulf War, they’re still setting up the pieces. The United States and NATO have moved more forces and equipment on the Russian border ready to go to war right now. Than at any time since the Cuban missile crisis in October of 1962. Navy Destroyers and Cruisers surround Russia, loaded to the gunnels with hundreds of cruises missiles and God knows what else.

Cruise missiles, that will actually hit their targets if launched. Attack helicopters and F-35 fighter jets. Brand new gassed up, angry and ready to go. Thousands of American troops have been moved forward to Europe. And the Republicans offer, “Joe Biden is weak.” And Putin says, “thanks fellas.”

There is a real hotline between Moscow and Washington. It isn’t a Hollywood prop or a made-up invention. It could very well be that telephone rang and someone on the other end said, “If you do that, it’s war!” But of course, since Joe Biden isn’t at liberty to discuss back-room negotiations with the Russians. The Republicans will attempt to tear Joe Biden limb from limb for it .

Because no matter what Biden does, the Republicans will call it wrong. Or it could be that the Generals told Joe Biden, that the Ukrainians don’t really need fighter jets that they can’t support. And if the Republicans weaken our position and inadvertently start World War Three and destroy the entire modern world, and all that we know and love? At least they can have the satisfaction of blaming it all on Joe Biden.

Willing throw the world under the bus for headlines on the six o’clock news. Dancing, laughing, and playing like children, clowning with the world like a piñata. Only once you break it, you might get candy for a minute. But then it’s broken and can never be put back together again. Playing chicken with our lives and futures, mooning Putin and daring him to act. While chastising Joe Biden for not reacting enough fast enough.

Look at Putin’s world. He’s all in in Ukraine, there’s no backing out now. The dice are rolled, and it’s come up craps. He’s pushed all of his chips forward, and it’s not going well. Having committed war crimes witnessed by the entire world, is there any way for Putin to go home again?

Will the world be content to say, “well, you’re the worst mass murderer since Pol Pot. But, if you agree to stop now and go home, we’ll forget all about it.” I can say with certainty this war will end without Vladimir Putin in power. But everything else is on the table. The Russians have their nuclear forces on their highest alert level. If you think things are set on normal over at the US nuclear command, you’re not paying close attention.

Chances are, there will be no worldwide nuclear cataclysm. And maybe, we can get out of this confrontation without even battlefield nukes or chemicals being used. But we don’t know that yet, the world is in crisis and hangs by a thread.

The Republicans see this as their golden opportunity to grandstand and to run their mouths carelessly, like the world isn’t really in the balance. And try to hamstring the Biden Administration every chance they get, if only so they can criticize him for whatever, later on . A chance move forward with their Russian supported sedition. And to maybe do a little better in the off-year elections. If the world still survives in November.
