George Orwell had it all wrong. There isn’t one Big Brother for everyone, but a custom Big Brother unique to each. Ted Cruz is promoting a bill for term limits while running for a third term himself. But the reason Republicans like to push term limits is because they struggle to win elections. So, if they can’t win an election one way, they attempt to win it by another method.
Cruz went on the talk shows to criticize the Biden Administration’s handling of a Chinese balloon, but offered no suggestions on what should have been done. Other than, It should have been taken care of sooner. Shoot it down over Canada perhaps? Or maybe shoot it down over a populated area? No just complain. But it isn’t just a complaint, it’s propaganda.
I get tired of being ministered to by these disloyal anti-social, anti-intellectual miscreants. They who ban books and who hide from history and claim it’s not so when it was so. But their goal isn’t to ban certain books, but to ban all books. Look at the course followed by Florida Reich’s Fuhrer Ron DeSantis. Ban Black history, ban books considered immortal classics. Because they don’t like the ideas found inside them.
Free societies never ban books! But Republican Fascists ban books because most of their droids don’t or won’t ever read books anyway. It makes it easier to demonize them. Most Americans don’t study science, so it is easier to make science the enemy. Instead of the polluters, oil companies or the robber barons.
American Kulture if you can call it that, consists of Superhero movies, melodramas, and cop shows. They don’t make mainstream films with any important ideas or concepts. They don’t attempt to elevate society but only to degrade it through pabulum, infantilism and whataboutism.
A Facebook meme shows an electric vehicle on fire because of overheated batteries. The message is to illustrate the dangers of electric vehicles. Ignoring, that gasoline vehicles catch fire all the time too. Winston Smith would be so proud. Another Meme shows a coal train with the caption “Electric Car Fuel” Even though coal use has been largely phased out for electrical generation. But the purpose is to delegitimize change. All change is bad, Bad ideas!
My tooth brush is battery electric. Most hand power tools are battery electric. There are no Memes about electric tooth brushes or hand drills exploding or catching fire because tooth brushes and hand drills don’t threaten the petroleum industry. This is propaganda, no differently than Big Brother’s increase in the chocolate ration.
The Trump Administration will undoubtedly be remembered as the most corrupt in American history. The Republican answer is to attempt to revise history no different than Winston Smith. To attack the agencies that protect us from criminals. Not to defend Trump, as much as to declaw those agencies from ever trying to curb corruption ever again.
Consider how the Republicans rail against the FBI while defending Police brutality. Kyle Rittenhouse is a good guy, and Colin Kaepernick and Black Lives Matter are bad guys. Vigilantism is good, Kyle a hero. But once he’s out of the lime light he will be thrown to the wolves.
The Nazis also banned books and demonized minority groups. But Republicans see no parallels. The Republicans railed against Gay marriage but abandoned the campaign after the public wasn’t buying it. So, the focus changed to Drag Shows. Reich’s Fuhrer DeSantis has taken the liquor license of a popular Florida venue for allowing minors to attend a Drag show.
The Party that claims they want to get government off your back now dictates how you should raise your kids. Claiming a Drag show was sexually explicit when everyone was wearing clothes. The explicit was mental and not actual.
The Fascist don’t like the idea of a man dressing as a women and so is considered sexually explicit. Is the Kink’s song “Lola” also sexually explicit? They want to track the menstrual history of female athletes because they don’t like and don’t want female athletes. They don’t like the ideas and so demonize them.
Of course, the ignorant an uneducated, don’t know that when Shakespeare’s plays were first performed. All the parts were played by men. Even Romeo and Juliet as the theater wasn’t considered and acceptable profession for a woman. The Republicans are taking a small slice of a sub-culture claiming it is harming America. Just like George Wallace once blamed Black agitators and hippies for America’s problems.
Make someone out be the enemy out to destroy the country. But it’s the same old story. It is propaganda. Take a subject few Americans know anything about and claim it is destroying the country. But the Republicans protected Jim Crow, tobacco, big oil and even irradiated foods. They will mine the last nugget of gold and the last drop of oil. Because they are the party of the status quo. The Party of big moneyed interests dressed in the clothes of racism and bigotry, riding on the rails of Propaganda.
The Party that fights the Green New Deal (Progress) and fights environmental regulations. (Progress) Claims Global Climate change is a fraud, because their droids are programmed to believe that everyone is out to get them. Vaccines are more dangerous than the illnesses they prevent. And could even make you magnetic! Maybe bleach is the answer? Propaganda!
But since Trump, the Republicans no longer have any agenda except as malcontents. They stand against everything. Remember to plug up your electrical outlets at night. Lest the electricity leak out and puddle up on the floor. Never forget the gas company sued Thomas Edison to stop the electrification of New York. They claimed electricity constituted a public danger. A public danger to the gas company perhaps.
But the very idea that the Party of Ted Cruz, Loren Bobert, Marge Traitor Greene, or George Santos. Should attempt to minister to anyone about anything is an absurdity over the line. The Party of Jewish Space Lasers and Birth Certificates or Hunter Biden’s laptop. Their goal isn’t to organize government but to disorganize government. By so muddling and confusing the issues with a steady stream of propaganda as to make governance near impossible.
To make issues of Drag shows and not of homelessness. To pass out AR-15 pins in the face of mass shootings. To post signs in restrooms demonizing a tiny fraction of the public. To support Public education by calling education indoctrination and then to institute state indoctrination. The official truth as authorized by the state.
To raise the next generation to know nothing and to read nothing. If you can make education as dull as possible, instead of interesting. Then the students will never ever read again. Schooling and reading will leave a bitter taste in their mouths. Mission Accomplished!
There is an obvious reason why the better educated you are the more likely you are to vote Democratic. The Republicans are supporting slow-motion sedition and generational insurrection. Advocating ignorance and supporting discrimination and bigotry. How long before they start burning witches again?
