I think it is important to make the distinction that Trump followers aren’t really Conservatives or even Republicans and most certainly not Christians, they are Trump cultists. Trump is facing indictment and possible arrest, then calls for his followers to rise-up and protest just like no Republican said ever. Just like Jim Jones called for his followers to shoot a Congressman and drink the Kool aid.

The cult leader has absolute and unquestioned authority and critical inquiry of the leader is never allowed. The cult is solidly behind Trump, and Trump could commit his crimes live on national television and the cultist would still deny reality. The cult still calls it the Russia hoax even though Mike Flynn was convicted of being an unregistered agent of a foreign (Turkey) government. While at the same time Flynn was Trump’s campaign manager. What problem?

During the Cold War, Berlin was where back-channel communications with Russia took place. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall the new location for those back-channel talks is in Turkey. The exact same location where Flynn was convicted of acting as an unregistered agent.

Now, outside the cult there is only one reason for Flynn not registering. Because Flynn didn’t want the government to know what he was up too. Flynn was convicted of the crime, but pardoned by Trump but that doesn’t mean that he wasn’t guilty, it means that he was.

 It means that Mike Flynn was convicted of a crime and excused by Trump. No amount of evidence will ever convince the cultists of Trump’s wrong doing. The cultist will say that Trump’s prosecution for $130,000 in hush money is politically motivated. They are 100% correct in this thinking. It is politically motivated. Donald Trump is accused of committing a political crime while running for a political office. What tune would the cult sing if Joe Biden had been accused of paying $130,000 in hush money to a stripper?

No amount of evidence will ever be good enough to satisfy the cult. Donald Trump’s phone calls to Georgia are explicit and blatant abuses, but not to the cult. Michael Cohen was Donald Trump’s lawyer and fixer for ten years. But anyone who speaks against Trump has either been gotten too or has been manipulated. Everyone is lying! Everyone has been gotten too. Everyone! Judges, the FBI, the Justice Department, everyone!

It’s all a plot to GET Donald Trump. Because the cult leader can do no wrong. The cult teaches that anyone outside the cult is a threat and a danger and never to be trusted. There is no accountability for the leader when he asks for money, the cultist just give and don’t ask why. The whole world is out to get them, you know.  And Republicans who don’t toe the line are called RINOs and banished from the cult. Republicans in name only, the leader defines the Party instead of the other way around.

Polling shows 90% of Trumpers get their news from Fox News. Tucker Carlson said that he can’t stand Donald Trump but to the cult, either it’s not true or he never actually said it. Because the cult only accepts positive news about the cult. That’s how you know that this is a cult.

Trump abandoned US bases in Syria to the Russians without so much as a peep out of the cult. Trump wanted to abandon NATO which has had bipartisan support since it’s inception. That isn’t a Republican position, it’s a Trump position not supported by the Republican establishment.

The Trump Administration engineered the US pull out from Iraq and when it fell apart, who did the cult blame? It couldn’t have been the Taliban for not living up to their agreement. No, it was all Joe Biden’s fault. Anyone who opposes the cult leader is their sworn enemy.

Trump chose Mike Pence as his running mate. But when Pence refused to go along with Trump’s Coup plot, Pence immediately became persona non grata. The mob chanted, “Hang, Mike Pence!” The Secret Service wanted Pence to get in the limo, so he could be whisked away to safety. Pence refused to get in that limo because Mike Pence feared he could be whisked away to somewhere. Maybe to safety or maybe somewhere else.

On January 6^th Mike Pence feared the Secret Service more than the mob calling for his blood. In the immediate aftermath of January 6^th the establishment Republicans blamed Trump but then changed their tune fearing the backlash of the cult.

Maybe they were all wrong in criticizing Trump. Maybe Trump didn’t call all those people to the Capital. Maybe it was all a clever trick by Antifa or Black Lives Matter. It could be anything but the obvious. The cult could believe the absurd and nonsensical before the truth on display right before their eyes.

Trump just called for his followers to abandon the Constitution and rise-up and protest because if Trump is arrested, it must be politically motivated. It couldn’t possibly be because Donald Trump has committed a crime. That’s not even possible to the cult. Kevin McCarthy could have chosen to stay silent and ignore Trump’s dog whistle, but no.

Kevin McCarthy the Speaker of the US House of Representatives and third inline to the White House. He is calling for investigations in to the dastardly District Attorney who would dare charge Donald Trump with a crime. Constitutional duty? Right and wrong? Rule of law? No, McCarthy fears the cult more than the American people as his position is always precarious within the cult.

Hunter Biden, a Yale trained attorney was accused of using his father’s position to make millions. Mike Flynn also made millions illegally and criminally. But no comment from the cult. Jared Kushner has sweetheart deals amounting to billions with Saudi killers. Aw, that’s not true. You see, the cult leader and his family are always blameless, and all his enemies are always evil and corrupt.

Trump told the cult that he built the wall and Joe Biden hid it. Steve Bannon grifted millions from his build the wall scam. It was a scam to fleece the suckers and yet the cultist remain quiet about it. Bannon was a friend of Trump and so indemnified from complaint.

Trump was banned from Social Media for his inflammatory and demonstrably false statements and the House Republicans called for investigating Social Media. This is all Social Media’s own fault for picking on Trump. The genesis of the Dominion lawsuit against Fox News were lies told to keep the cultist in the fold. A competitor was luring the cultist away with even more extreme cult rhetoric. Fox was being out foxed.

And so, fed the cult with the messaging that they wanted to hear. The election was stolen! Donald Trump won the election! Everyone is lying and cheating. Everyone outside the cult was out to get them and every judge who ruled against Trump was a RINO or in the pocket of the evil Democrats.

Someday, Donald Trump will take that dirt nap we all must take and the cult will wail and gnash their teeth. They will wait by his tomb for three days for their messiah to rise. And when it doesn’t happen will blame Joe Biden and the Democrats and blame Social Media and prosecutors. Blame the Liberal media, blame Antifa and Black Lives Matter! Then maybe the cult will announce that Trump did rise. But it was covered up by the media and the cultist will believe it.

It is a cult and is impervious to facts and you will never ever change their minds about even the smallest detail. It is Occam’s Corollary, if Trump said it, it must be true. “2 + 2 = 5 Winston.”
