All Things Must Pass

By David Glenn Cox

A small crack which lets in a small light. If they won’t vote with their thumb on the remote control, will they vote with their feet? The TV ratings for the Trump Town Hall aka, Hannity insanity were way down. Even lower ratings than the colossal Newsome – DeSantis debate.

Cue the Hallelujah Choir.

It speaks volumes, it suggests even the slow-witted low IQ voters are growing tired of the act. Trump has only got one pitch and it ain’t selling on TV like it used too. The crowd always enjoyed chanting “Build the Wall!” It was fun, but they don’t care for the newer and darker revenge Trump 2.0.

The proselytes will still be there, but the minions and multitudes will be missing. The redundant repetitive speeches all saying the same things about corrupt prosecutors and corrupt FBI and corrupt Leftist Liberals, Everybody is corrupt, everybody.  Everybody is out to get me! But it just doesn’t have that same old zing.

All things must pass, including kidney stones and Donald Trump. It’s tough, as the public always demands something new while at the same time wanting the reassurance and comfort of the well-known. Don’t change your tie and don’t get a haircut until it becomes a uniform and then a cliché’. You can’t be new forever, and it is difficult to stay on the public pulse.

Trump’s town hall just barely beat out the Republican also ran debate with 3.1 million viewers. Not good! Not a positive signpost for the Republican future. Neither debate drawing stellar attention. Donald Trump will say the same stuff he always says these days. And what do the also rans say?  Well, who cares?

For Faux News, it means the next bright executive to suggest a televised town hall will be sent to get the coffee. It suggests Republican voter exhaustion. Who can keep up? Trump is in court in New York, or Trump is in court in Georgia and everywhere in between. Stolen documents secret meetings in the bushes trying to void the security tapes. It’s like “War & Peace” only with Republicans instead of Russians. Too many characters and too many plot lines. “Oh, Look Honey, Donald Trump is having a town hall on TV tonight!”

The antics of the Republican House of flying monkeys has generated the public’s attention and the public’s exhaustion. Fourteen ballots to elect Kevin McCarthy and only one ballot to remove him. Who should we pick now? How about Jim Jordan? Stop laughing, I’m not kidding! Okay, how about Steve Scalise? Well, at least you stopped laughing.

How about Mike, what’s his name? He can play goalie for a while. He loves Jesus and Donald Trump but not in that order. Besides, it should be clear by now we can’t accomplish anything. So put Poindexter in charge for a while. He talks a good game, and nobody expects too much out of him.

Chris Christie continues his attacks, saying Trump will be convicted and won’t even be able to vote for himself in 2024. Former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has made a plea agreement and will testify against Trump before the Grand Jury. Do you know how bad that looks? Your number two in the office is now the key prosecution witness against you.

“Imagine this: He’s our nominee, he won’t be able to vote for himself.” – Chris Christie

A political Party putting forth a convicted felon as their Presidential nominee, what could possibly go wrong?

The Nielson ratings tell the tale and never lie. The Republican low IQ voters still like Trump, sort of. But will they leave the trailer park to go vote for him? Or will Republicans just say they still love Trump and stay home on election day? Day after day and week after week, the drone goes on. So and so has flipped on Trump and this guy is taking a plea agreement. This guy is going to prison, and the state has indicted more phony electors and Donald Trump is having a town hall on TV tonight!

The tone has changed and it’s not all fun and name games anymore. The con only works until it doesn’t work. It’s no longer about “Make America Great Again!” It’s all about “I’m pissed off, and I need you little people to save my ass.”

Only reporters wait at the courtroom doors for Trump these days. No huddled masses yearning to breathe free. No surging crowds outside the courthouse pushing on the barricades amid the flashing lights of the police cruisers. No barking police dogs, and no bomb squads. No mobs, no buffalo robed idiots and no crowds. Already Trump’s court appearances have become old hat, cold product that is no longer moving. And Donald Trump is holding a town hall on Fox News tonight!

The Donald Trump of 2016 has gone away, replaced by an angry old obese man. And Trump can never reach back to 2016 again. The future for Trump has come and gone. Trump can’t make America great again. He can’t even make Trump great again.

Et tu Megyn? Former Fox News Fascist presenter Megyn Kelly moderator of the Republican also ran debate. Phoned into Glen Beck’s radio program to take time out of her busy day to suggest,“Yeah. I do. I mean, I would take him over Joe Biden any day of the week. I don’t think he will fill out this term — never mind the second — but there’s no question that Trump has lost a step. Or multiple steps. He is confusing Joe Biden from Obama.”

For Trump, the happy times are over. All of the signs point to terminal. The Nielson ratings are out and they never lie, the party is over. Even his friends won’t tell him to his face. Like a fatal disease which must run its course, eventually the inevitable occurs. They might still like Donald Trump, but not like they did in the good old days. And Donald Trump is holding a town hall on TV tonight!

I loved everything, top to bottom. The apathy of the voters and why in particular. If the trumpers are bored, the rest of us are blithering idiots.
“Turn out the lights, the party’s over.” I can still hear Dandy Don Meredith………

Voter apathy on our side is the only thing that worries me.

Yes, that’s scary, too. I think part of it is because everyone is so tired of the spuing hatred. It’s like college debates going emotional instead of factual. I’m certainly tired, but would never consider not voting……
