The Orange Elephant in the Room

By David Glenn Cox

Imagine, you checked your bank balance and then went to sleep soundly. But when you woke up; every dollar you had in the bank was now worth one cent. The Russian Ruble has broken through the psychological one cent barrier, headed for glory.

A pound of butter is ten dollars in new money in your old money that’s a thousand dollars. Do you know what that means with winter approaching in Russia? If you can’t afford to eat, what are the chances you can afford heat? Funny story turns out countries have credit ratings. And with Russia’s credit they couldn’t get a Kia Elantra or Chrysler 200 off the lot.

It looks like finance might do what the bombs and rockets could not. Russia is out of cash and has no external sources to raise it. Only news taxes (Nyet! Nyet!) or selling assets. First, Russia was throwing oil around as trade bait. Problem is pretty soon you have all that cheap oil you can hold and want something else. How about some Nuclear secrets? “Okay!” You send us a few thousand meat droids and don’t ask what happens to them and we’ll explain 2+2.

The other day, when the first Storm Shadow attack occurred inside Russia hitting a logistics complex with ten missiles. Ten missiles! What the hell! The Ukrainians went after the whole Black Sea Fleet leadership and only used two Storm Shadows. The Ukrainians wanted to kill someone or something very badly. Turns out it was a barracks for North Korean troops. One Russian General is missing, and 500 North Koreans soldiers are deceased. That’s called, sending a message home!

Russian losses have reached 2,000 per day or only a five-day supply of North Koreans. Here’s the current battle plan. Lacking armored vehicles, artillery or air cover. The Russians attack on four wheelers, dirt bikes and even electric scooters.

The Russians send a 100 guys and 80 or so are killed outright immediately, but 15 or twenty establish the new front line. Until they are either killed by drones or hunted down by special forces. Maybe you might have missed it the other day when the French Defense Minister said, “European forces are strong!” Not NATO forces. European!

That points directly to the 300-pound orange elephant in the room. He is the wildcard here. The monkey who can’t ever stop gibbering and loves to hear himself talk is silent as the sphinx. No one knows what will happen next. King Donald the Dim has threatened to defund Ukraine and throw them on the scrap heap, like so many other allies foolish enough to trust the word of the United States. Our word is meaningless.

Our NATO allies are currently in conference to decide whether to place combat troops inside Ukraine. Why? Because they can neither trust nor depend on the word of the United States. And if a nuclear war results, what will our American aloofness have gained us?

The King had promised he could end the Russia/Ukraine war in one day. But both the Russians and the Ukrainians told the King to buzz off. Illustrating the King’s massive misunderstanding of the situation. Both sides are locked in a death grip and won’t shake hands and return to their respective corners. So, that leaves the King with only plan B (do nothing.) Let the situation just spiral out of control until January 20th when the hammer arrives.

Meanwhile, The King’s transition team has refused to sign ethics agreements and undergo FBI background checks. Meaning until they do, they will be locked out of the offices until January 20th . They will know nothing about the current situation except what they hear on CNN and will start from zero at 12:01. What could possibly go wrong with a scenario like that?

But perhaps you’ve noticed or soon will. Since November 5th the King doesn’t have too much to say to us anymore. He doesn’t need to now. Just reiterate his remarks about suicidal tariffs and mass deportations. Europe? Where’s that? Oh yeah, that, I already gave them my solution. They can either listen to me or fuck off! I got Hispanics to deport.

Sure, it is always good when the incoming president ignores a potential nuclear war situation. One sentence spoken in support of NATO or Ukraine might make the current situation evaporate. But instead, only silence. It means a war is coming. Nature abhors a vacuum, but I will leave Donald Trump’s head out of this. Maybe he wants a general war? Little or no communication leads to misjudgment and misjudgment to mistrust. Mistrust leads to mistakes being made.

“Those who come seeking peace without mentioning an agreement are plotting against you.” ― Sun Tzu

Imagine the world with ten or twenty thousand British and French troops on the ground in Ukraine. A general European war incited and exacerbated by not knowing the true wishes of the King. Better to act now than to wait on the wishes of King Dim the turd.

That Russian hyperinflation works both ways. Your car payment was 3,500 rubles per month. In the old money, 3,500 rubles, that’s only about $1.75 now, and the banks won’t last for long like that. Hyperinflation is the last page of the story and last part of a war, where everything falls apart and people go crazy.

But for Vladimir Putin defeat is a death sentence. It is a long walk on a short scaffold followed by a sudden drop or two in the back of the head. Why wouldn’t Putin nuke Ukraine? What does he have to lose now? When he’s already dead. Will he share the indignity of Saddam or go out in a neutron blaze of glory?

“Do not press an enemy at bay. Wild beasts, when at bay, fight desperately. How much more is this true of men! If they know there is no alternative, they will fight to the death.” ― Sun Tzu
