The Bright Boys and Dim Bulbs Have A Plan!

By David Glenn Cox

Ukrainian President Zelensky says we have already begun World War III. I hope he is wrong, but I won’t argue the point, because he could be right. From the very beginning of the Cold War, there was always the fear that we would stumble into a world war over something stupid or meaningless. This country has a wannabe authoritarian President surrounded by a group of inexperienced idealogs with bright ideas and no practical experience.

This president insults our long-term allies and announces a new economic order. Instituting tariffs and destabilizing the world financial order. After the Supreme Court terminated the tariffs, the administration began to waffle and wobble. They say give us seven years to repay, making it clear they won’t follow the law and won’t ever give the money back. Because they want it and they intend to keep it, court be damned. Like the Epstein files, fuck the law! We aren’t giving up the most toxic information on our pedophile president, and you can’t make us!

We are on a solitary path to the new order. Walk softly and carry a big mouth. The unprovoked attack on Venezuela was a war crime. The capture and black-bagging of its president was illegal. But this administration has no mirror by which it can see its own reflection. They only see their specious goals and their greed-filled ideology. Since the failure of the rescue mission of the hostages under the Carter administration, it’s been a given that Iran would be a tough nut to crack.

In every successive administration, there have been plans accompanied with dire warnings about Iran. But the bright boys an ideologs, always know better. Emboldened by their successful Venezuela adventure, they thought this would be simple. Just drop a few bombs and watch them roll over and surrender. Ersatz tough guy, little Marco Polio announces, Iran hasn’t seen anything yet, and the toughest blows are still to come. The orange Fuhrer says the war will go on, no matter what! Money be damned!

Iran, for its part, promises to set fire to any ship in the straits of Hormuz and to target oil states’ infrastructure, so that not one drop of oil gets through. See the problem yet? President Doofus has created a financial problem for the world. A problem beyond the borders of the United Snakes. President Bush, (the idiot) gathered a coalition before foolishly starting the Iraq war. This time we are on a solitary path. The entire world will feel the pain and pay the costs, with no voice in the matter. Just the bright boys, dim bulbs and the idealogs.

Twenty percent of the world’s oil passes through the straits of Hormuz. But surprise, surprise, 80% of the oil destined for China passes through the straits. Sanctions passed to wean Europe from Russian oil and natural gas have been effective. Now Europe’s natural gas comes from the Middle East, and President Doofus and the dim bulbs have just placed them in a pickle. No one asked the Chinese or the Europeans; the administration just did it. They know better; they’ve got a plan.

It’s simple: just drop a few bombs and presto! Regime change! We place our trained monkey on the throne, and the world’s a better place for it. Kudos to us. What’s holding up my peace prize? Financial markets around the world are going haywire. The Dow was down 800 points yesterday and bounced back to near even. Japan down 3%, Korea, China and Europe all down. While oil prices explode. Remember now, this administration asked no one. They just did it.

The Dow is down 900 points this morning. Will it bounce back again with Rubio waving his war club and president Dim bulb promising the war will go on? The straits of Hormuz are barely twenty miles wide and there is little that can be done to stop the Iranians. Tanker insurance rates have skyrocketed or been cancelled outright. Nothing will move. How long can the administration stand up to the world’s pressure? How long will the Chinese tolerate their economy being strangled? How long before Europe figures out that the greatest threat to world peace sits in the Oval Office?

It is pointless to negotiate with a lawless administration that thinks only of itself and its own interests. An administration with no thought or concern for others. No concern for its own long-suffering people who must endure for the rich man’s goals. Currently, at this moment due to the war inflation is predicted to reach 2%. If the war goes on another  month it could be 3% or 4%. Sending an already sick US economy skidding towards disaster. Forget about the lower interest rates that Wall Street was praying for. Those are out the window.

How long will the Gulf States resist retaliation, as their oil refineries and oil pipelines are being struck by Iranian drones and missiles? Who remembers the invasion of Kuwait? Saddam with a few thousand soldiers rolled over the tiny kingdom in a couple of hours. It’s only twenty miles. Iran has an army of 600,000 active-duty soldiers, twice the size of the Russian Army. Can Doha or Dubai actually be protected from an adversary who feels they’ve nothing to lose? A country attacked in the middle of the night while in negotiations? What then, Mr. Wizard?

The history of the world is littered with stupid wars, but this one outshines them all. It’s based on a flawed premise. All we have to do boss, is start bombing, and the people will rise up and overthrow their evil oppressors. It’ll be easy! Remember, Vladimir Putin’s special military operation would be over in a few days. Then we can put our monkey on the throne! But three days in and Trump says we are ahead of schedule. But we are actually behind schedule. The bright boys and dim bulbs thought it would be all over by now. And every day it goes on, the will tide turn. If we were really ahead of schedule, the orange Fuhrer wouldn’t be crying about the war going on for as long as it takes.

Trumpo and the Immoral States of America have dropped a bomb on the world economy. They have bombed the US economy for no good purpose. What is the upside here? What will we gain after a successful campaign? A campaign costing hundreds of millions of dollars each day. Losing men and machines for no understandable purpose. The dim-bulb administration pulls out the old; we had to attack because if Israel went it alone, Iran would attack us anyway.

Iranian negotiators left the meeting on Friday, prepared for more meetings on Monday in Vienna. US negotiators left the meeting the same way Japanese negotiators left the meeting on December 7, 1941. Oman smelled a rat and implored to Washington to see how much progress had been made. But the die had been cast. The bright boys and dim bulbs have a plan!
