Will the world ever forgive us? The billions of innocents who were never involved in this awful crime. The billions who never would have heard the name of Donald Trump, if it weren’t for a careless section of the American public. Now; today, there is no obvious way forward. It’s become pointless and senseless, it’s an out and out naked aggression/conquest. Steal yourself rich. Not just rich, but rich. With fuck-you money to spare. Sure, the world will just have to understand that it could happen to any country. The sun comes up, and the sun goes down, and sometimes it gets cloudy and rains.
Sometimes a dictator rises up to befuddle the foolish of a nation with blatant bullshit. They have many names: Colonel, Generalissimo, Czar, King, or President. The State Secretary for truth and knowledge. They won’t ever call themselves dictators. They’re only doing the will of the people! They do what they do, because they are on a mission from God or somebody to make the world a better place, with a few shortcuts. If only we could get our boy elected, we could knock a few heads together and make the world a better place, understand? Maybe, like the former “president” of Afghanistan, you could hold a monopoly on all the concrete sales in a country like he did. Lucrative, very lucrative.
It’s a criminal scheme under the guise of a government scheme. And no, I don’t need to prove it. It’s right there before your eyes. Either you see it or you don’t. Donald Trump illegally invaded Venezuela and kidnapped the President and his wife, and is holding them hostage. A cheap, fraudulent excuse to invade a foreign land. Like Trump said, “We can just take the oil!” Sounds like something George Washington or Thomas Jefferson might say, doesn’t it? Coming soon: The Godfather IV – Michael Corleone is elected president. “Kaye, the family will be completely legitimate after my second term.”
If you’ve been waiting nine months or so on your new made-in-America Trump phone, there’s good news! According to Eric Trump, company spokesman and walking birth control advertisement. The phones won’t be made in America after all, but they will feel like they are. They’ve waited nine months for the Easter Bunny to bring them a phone. Purchased at a premium price and paid for upfront. See, it’s gold! Huh, huh? And it says Trump on it. Huh, huh? Bait and switch? No, no, that’s not fraud, that’s just Trump.
A criminal dictator who has seized control of the federal government and violates his oath of office five times a day before breakfast. He does whatever the hell he wants to do, and maybe, if he’s in the mood, he’ll tell Congress about it later. Marcos, Juan Peron, Pinochet it could happen to any nation. Napoleon was only trying to reclaim the glory of France. That ended with Napoleon as the emperor crowning himself at his own coronation. “Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
Mr. Trump wanted a ballroom. Does he ask for one? Does he seek approval and funding? No, he tells us a lie; his friends will pay for it. Then has his invertebrate Republicans in Congress crying, “Give him his ballroom! It’s only a billion dollars!” In a court settlement certain to cut the baby in half. The Trump regime can build underground. The secret part of the people’s house. It’s only money, and Trump spends it, whether or not Congress funds it. He sure does seem interested in the White House. It’s doubtful his ballroom will be completed before Trump’s term expires, but Trump seems unconcerned.
Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, and then what? Find some more lands to loot, pillage, and conquer? Maybe turn the security apparatus loose on the American public. Start construction on those twenty-five battleships! Uncle Billionaire needs you to fight his wars of conquest! Join the Navy and see the Persian Gulf!
Once upon a time there was this German dictator. He hired himself an architect and began redesigning his capital too! A huge chancellery with an underground bunker! It’s amazing; it’s almost like listening to history rhyme. That man had a sick and twisted brain and his megalomania was served by these monuments to his own glory. That man-built prison camps…and deported, oh my. Has anyone seen what goes on inside those camps? Has anyone seen the children’s camp? No! Of course not. We’re innocent! We didn’t know!
Mr. Trump wanted his taxes kept secret because, basically, he’s a criminal. But Trump’s taxes did leak. Trump sues the IRS for ten billion dollars. But in a settlement agreement, arranged between Donald Trump’s Justice Department and Donald Trump’s IRS. Together, they decided their boss, Donald Trump deserved a 1.8-billion-dollar slush fund of taxpayer money to reward his friends. And that’s nothing! Mr. Trump also gets tax-exempt status until the end of time! From now on, Trump pays no taxes, and there isn’t squat you can do about it. Remember what I was saying about dictators, not calling themselves dictators? But there are these subtle hints and clues. Nothing says dictatorship quite like exempting yourself from the law.
I wish I had something noble or heroic to say about it, but I don’t know how this will turn out myself. History is no help; history says these things usually end badly with a guillotine in the cul de sac. Economic hardship and a breakdown of normal society. Ruined farms and businesses, and a disruption of commerce and trade. And now, billions of innocents all across the world will have to pay the price for our foolishness. Make America Great again! “One Volk, one Reich, one Fuhrer!” A petty slogan to cover over the eyes of dictatorship and soften the blows of criminal responsibility.
“In normal circumstances people who turn their backs on reality are soon set straight by the mockery and criticism of those around them… In the Third Reich there were no such correctives, especially for those who belonged to the upper stratum. On the contrary, every self-deception was multiplied as in a hall of distorting mirrors, becoming a repeatedly confirmed picture of a fantastical dream world, which no longer bore any relationship to the grim outside world. In those mirrors I could see nothing but my own face reproduced many times over.” ― Albert Speer,
