As of yesterday, the prices at my local gas hole were as follows. Diesel fuel was $6.14 per gallon. Regular gasoline was a friendly $4.59. You will see the relevance directly. The President defect was campaigning yesterday at a Peterbilt truck factory. Trucks-diesel-duh! Who thought that was a good idea? These types of campaign stops are tightly orchestrated, like a Broadway show. Happy workers (campaign operatives) in bright, shiny, never-used hard hats. Joyously cheering on the man who is about to put them all out of work.
Sixteen trucking companies have filed for bankruptcy protection in the last thirty days, not to mention the thousands of owner-operators. There’s an old expression that says, “Never talk about rope in a house where someone has been hanged.” It’s like the band playing on the quarterdeck of the Titanic. “We’re all going to be unemployed soon! Yeah! Donald Trump!” That was a stupid stop.
The President defect and his vice-dimwitt are campaigning in Floriduh, Oklahoma and Tejas. The important factoid here is that the doofus twins are campaigning in Floriduh, Oklahoma, and the One Star State. Are these the last bastions of Trumpian welcome? Or are these the races where they think that their appearances might still hold some positive sway? Less than thirty days out from the election and the president is campaigning in Texas. These are blood-red states, and just the fact that they are appearing there, tells you they are in big, big trouble.
Many, if not most, Republican races are distancing themselves from Mr. Trump. “We can still win in Texas, Oklahoma and Floriduh! We can hold the line there!” It speaks volumes, and it speaks for itself. Sometimes it seems as if the Reich hand doesn’t know what the other Reich hand is doing. Petey Hogsbreath hires Elon Musk to work in the Duh fence Department. I wonder; did he clear that with the boss first? Elon is not popular by any means. He’s not popular with Democrats, Independents, or even with most Republican voters. Surely, they could have waited three weeks to add this new hire to the staff. As for me, I’m going into the personal bomb shelter business.
Among all of the accumulated Trumpian stupidity, Elon Musk stands alone. This was a man who built an empire and put electric cars on the map and then destroyed his empire with his own big mouth. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. Everything and everyone that Donald Trump ever touches, he destroys. Anyone wanna buy the new Kid Rock or Kanye West album? Elon took his wildly successful business and turned it into the worldwide poster child for Donald Trump, and sales fell through the floor worldwide. That was dumb, but to come back for a second helping is the epitome of stupid. They could have waited until after the election, but no, they couldn’t wait. “Whadda ya mean…it looks bad?”
The election is a referendum on Donald Trump. The soaring fuel prices are only the bur under the saddle. Corn prices fell like a ball rolling off a table. They fell nearly 3%, farmers for Trump! Remember back when Pam Blondie said the Dow was at fifty thousand! After losing 4% the Dow is back around fifty thousand. If you look at a chart for the last thirty days for the Dow, it looks like a hill you could ski on. Not a bunny hill, but a black diamond hill. And there is no end to it in sight.
Most of the trucking companies filing for bankruptcy have been the ones on the edge, anyway. Too much debt and not enough freight. Freight levels are dropping. What does that tell you? Other commodity prices are rising, signaling that inflation is back. The old one-two: higher costs and lower sales. Wait until Christmas. Janie will be lucky if she gets one doll this year. But Halloween looks to be much scarier than usual. The administration lives in denial and has a second home there. What does the administration say they are going to do to fix these problems and ease American’s pain? What problems? “Hi! I’m here! Is everyone glad to see me? Gosh, the crowd has filled this entire high school auditorium. The cameras are locked firmly on the stage and never on the crowd. Good propaganda 101.
On the Iran war, Mr. Trump declares the war will be over any day now. Or week now, or month now. Over and over, the resident defect repeats his mantra, but it never seems to come true. On soaring fuel costs, Mr. Trump answers, “Shut up and quit your bitching! It’s a small price to pay to have me as your exhausted ruler.” It’s like Jimmy Carter saying, “It’s just a few hostages. What’s the big deal?” Or George Bush the elder saying, “I raised a few taxes! So what? Shut up and vote for me!” They wouldn’t ever say these things because they weren’t so stupid.
Watch this! Headlines from your free and fair corporate invertebrate media. You can’t make this shit up! If you could, the Trump regime would hire you.
“Trump vows Iran war will end “right after the election or sooner!” – See BS.
“US to deploy thousands more troops, Marines to Middle East as oil prices surge.” – Ox News.
“Iran war live: EU rejects Trump’s diesel demand amid Iran war shortages.” – Al Jazeera
There it is, that dirty little word the American media dare not speak: shortages. EU tells Trump to go “get bent!”
“Trump promises a full pardon for Dennis Rodman and Enes Kanter Freedom to pursue WNBA careers ‘Anytime they want’ – Yahoo
Yes, sir, Mr. Trump certainly has his finger on the pulse of America, alright. That is so dumb it deserves a new word for it. Traditionally, Republicans run toward the center during election years and veer hard right during the off years. Mr. Trump injecting himself into the WNBA kerfuffle during an election is beyond stupid; it’s Trumpian stupid. Imagine attending your local Republican candidate’s rally. “And if I’m elected, I won’t do a damn thing about the war or inflation, or high energy prices! Not until I make sure it is safe for men and provocateurs to play in a women’s basketball league! Stupid Incorporated! A full pardon, everyone! Oh, what a relief!
