So the server went down not because of the swelling Chinese readership, but because of an antiquated technology, mine. WordPress updated their browser, and it didn’t like my old system and (Crash). So much thanks to the WordPress Staff for their hard work on my part. In case it ever happens again. I’m also on Substack, and BlueSky.
I have another question. Why are hundreds of Chinese are reading “This Carbon-Based Life?” It’s not that I don’t appreciate them, I do. I just struggle to understand the why of it? Is it a secret guilty college pleasure? Hidden from the authorities? Copies passed in secret or read aloud in private clandestine meetings. And if they’re reading this as an English lesson, lord help them!
