Hardly Cult Like Numbers

By David Glenn Cox

Another day another ballot ban. As Illinois adds its name to the roll of states banning Donald Trump from its November ballot. The court’s ruling has been stayed pending obvious coming appeals. Let the bloodletting begin! Let those legal hours kick in and watch that money flow out. As X equals the end of the money.

An estimated fifty million dollars was spent on Trump’s legal defense last year. And this year, just January’s bill was nearly $ 3 million. But with ballot bans popping up like dandelions in the yard that figure could be expected to rise exponentially. Just throw it on the pile with all the other Trump travails. Like the Trump campaign taking in less money than it spent last month.

Fox News empty head Laura Ingram sneers, “Cook County huh?” As if a supporter of Donald Trump has some high moral pulpit to preach from. Gosh, everybody knows a master criminal can’t get a decent break in Cook County. Look what they did to Al Capone! They took an honest businessman and made him out to be a criminal.

Living in a never, never land reality. Trump is banned from the ballot, and the cult blames the state for it. It just must be a crooked state and not a crooked Trump. Do nothing wrong Donald shouldn’t be banned, it’s all a partisan attack! A few people uninvited just happened to show up at the Capitol on January 6th. Where Donald Trump’s people just happened to have rented a sound system and magnetometers. All on the off chance if people showed up and Donald Trump was in the mood, he could say a few words to them.

And well, maybe some of these fine patriots went off the rails a little bit and who could blame them? The first bulwark of their nonsense. January 6th was a spontaneous outburst of public anger over a stolen election.

The events of January 6th were planned and orchestrated by Donald Trump and his Administration. For the express purposes of disrupting the rightful transfer of power. Period! End of Story! FINN! Case closed! The Trump campaign rented the P.A. system, and they have the receipt. It didn’t fall from the sky or just happened to be there!

Federal inmates described as “political prisoners” who just happened to commit a few Federal crimes while Donald Trump was still President. Fool me once, Federal prison fool me twice and blow my appeal. The Party of personal responsibility refuses to take responsibility. Building an Eiffel Tower of lies and excuses to explain away the bitter reality.

And maybe they can sell that Shinola on Fox News, but prison terms are prison terms, aren’t they? And that is a hard fact to paper over. “I did five years in the slammer and lost everything for Donald Trump!” Lucky you. The cult shall have no martyrs before him.  There is only one victim allowed here! Thank you for your stupidity, now go serve your prison sentence.

They all have to be innocent. They must be innocent! Because otherwise it begins to look to the casual observer Trump is also guilty. So, they create a candy floss world where nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.

“Oh, that court! You can’t trust them! Oh, that state! You can’t trust them! Cook County huh? Everybody in the whole wide world is a crook EXCEPT for Donald Trump and us here at Fox News.” Donald Trump keeps losing court cases; it must be because all the courts are bad!

The issue inside the Republican Party is a simple one. Last time around Trump was flush with money but didn’t know how to use the Party machinery. This time around he holds the party in a death grip but there is no money. For some peculiar reason Republican bigwigs refuse to pony up this time around.

A sneaking suspicion Trump is using the Republican party as a gigolo would. “You know I love you baby, pay my bills! This is my daughter in-law, and I’m putting her in charge if you don’t mind?” A sneaking suspicion Trump will be ground down on the lathe of heaven before November.

Technically, you could call the primary race between Donald Trump and Nikki Haley about over. But stick around Nikki, there might be an opening. Either the courts, the banks, or the news. It’s all an uphill struggle for Donald Trump this time around. Trump won 60% of the vote in South Carolina. Only 60% of the vote in a two-person race in the deep Confederacy. (Trump Country) Chances are Trump won’t do much better in the general election.

There is a sizable percentage of Republicans who are saying they don’t want any more Donald Trump. So, it becomes glaringly obvious Donald Trump can’t win the election. Making Trump campaign donations simply good money thrown after bad. A portion of every dollar donated will go to pay this orange tape worm’s legal expenses.

A Republican Party stratified with the simian shit kickers believing in the orange Easter bunny. “He’s going to raise the chocolate ration!” Upstairs above the fray and fanfare, the movers, shakers and book learners understand they are trying to sell shit for Shinola, and it’s doomed to failure.

A meager 60% of the vote when facing nobody is hardly cult like numbers.
