Proof, Pretext or Propaganda?

By David Glenn Cox

They say with age comes wisdom, but who knows? Maybe with age just comes repetition. Not being bitten by the same dog twice. Understanding the true meaning when the doctor says, “You may feel a little pressure.” Understanding that what they mean to say is not always what they say to mean. They can say something completely innocently and have serious business behind what they say.

France recently announced, they will begin to ferry “used” military equipment to Ukraine. Very ambiguous that word “used”, very casually, “Oh by the way.” But “used” or “obsolete” can have many meanings. On the surface, it’s just France cleaning its house of old debris and unneeded brick-a-brack. But France is also saying without saying they will be getting more directly involved without preconditions. France will give Ukraine whatever the hell they feel like giving Ukraine, without conditions or announcement.

The Polish Prime minister warns that war in Europe was no longer a concept out of that past. Poland recently abandoned an arms treaty where states make public the information about the location of their militaries. The visitation of the ghost of 1939. Look at the picture and what do you see? The two European nations which suffered badly at the hands of a madman are the first to sound the alarm. Berlin is largely quiet on the subject of war in Europe for the same historical reason. They’ve been trying to live that down for a long time.

On the other side of the street, Vladimir Putin just announced a new draft. Calling for 150,000 more boys to join the great patriotic cause. Culling the already blood let herd. On the surface, it is just the usual annual Russian Draft call up, and maybe a little larger than usual perhaps. But how many Russian boys will have an eighteenth birthday this year? So, the call up is for most everybody not blind, crippled, or crazy. (Crazy handled on a case-by-case basis.)

The Russians will take anybody, convicts, third world African conscripts. Who think they will get rich naively believing they will get paid someday. The Russians are practicing a military theory which goes back to the time of Joe Stalin. If you fail to achieve military success, just throw more men at the objective. Like Zulus, they just keep assaulting the line until the other side runs out of ammunition. What it means is that Russia is locked in and highly unlikely to back down now. Putin has little left to lose and probably won’t listen to any stern lectures.

The Russian air force is suffering from equipment fatigue and itchy trigger fingers. Shooting down their own missiles and aircraft. Which means the underlings have been warned. “I wouldn’t want to be you comrade, if another missile or drone gets through.” The Black Sea fleet or what is left of it, is hiding as far from Ukrainian naval drones as possible.

The Russians are literally putting barges and submarine netting over the port entrance. Announcing publicly the abandonment of the Black Sea by the Black Sea Fleet. Hiding under their covers afraid of the lurking monster hiding in the dark under their bed. If another ship gets hit, I wouldn’t want to be you, comrade!

A Russian army blunted by two years of war and mass casualties. You can’t get better at fighting a war if everyone dies. You can’t learn from the experience if everyone always dies from the experience. An autocratic leadership which demands results regardless of conditions or shortages. In response to France saying they will send troops to Ukraine. Russia says they will kill every single Frenchman in Ukraine. You can see, things are moving in the wrong direction.

The Biden Administration has been constrained in supporting Ukraine by the house Republican tinfoil hat brigade. By ignoring a world crisis, House Republicans hope to save few dollars while sticking it to Joe Biden. And if it turns into a world war, they can always blame it on Joe Biden. That’s what is important to them, who gets the blame.

A world war, duh what? Did I do that?

The other night, the 60 Minutes program did a story about “Havana Syndrome.” Believed to be an energy weapon of directed waves suspected to cause cognitive difficulties. The 60 Minutes program had an answer for who was responsible, it’s the Russians. And further, the Russians are using this weapon INSIDE the borders of the United States. Do you know what that means?

It means it is a direct attack on America and Americans by a foreign military power. It means Saddam has weapons of Mass Destruction. If the President needed a pretext, he’s got one. It’s clearly an act of war and if proven, is as damning as the Zimmermann telegram.

From a diplomatic standpoint it is a completely reckless act by the Russians. The President would have every right to close every Russian embassy in the US. Who remembers 1962? When President Kennedy said, any attack on North America from the territory of Cuber. Would be considered an attack by the Soviet Union. Well, 60 Minutes just said Americans have been and are being attacked by Russia. Proof, pretext or propaganda?

History repeats itself as the Republicans in Congress cry “America First!” Ignoring the storm clouds contemplating their belly buttons. Too self-absorbed with masturbation, drag queens and dirty books to read the tea leaves and prepare. Too obsessed with attacking Joe Biden to defend the country against the threat of Vladimir Putin.
